@Dolo That’s my point though. OP implies that fans giving nicknames is some kind of proof of skill, which is ridiculous. Nicknames exist and persist because of memorable or unique moments, whether or not that reflects skill or ability.
@Walking Bucket I see what you’re saying and I partly agree with you, but I still think that a GREAT degree of skill/talent is part of the unconscious criteria for bestowing a nickname unto a player. You can’t have an iconic nickname such as Megatron and Fitzmagic if you weren’t spectacular in some fashion.

As of right now you gotta go with Calvin Johnson. But some would say Cooper isn’t even in his prime yet. When it’s all said and done Kupp could go down as one of the greats. Both amazing players!

Cooper Kupp is an insane receiver but Megatron is on a different level. He was like the Derrick Henry of the WR position. Built like a tight end and can outrun defenders. He was even used as a blocker sometimes. Freak of nature
