Benny snell has no burst. He’s not gonna do any better than Connor. They collectively have to be better than they’ve ever been now. They have to compliment each other or we aren’t gonna be in any better of a situation than we’ve been in the last 8 weeks in our run game

The Deep Ball will be there no matter what! Not JuJu tho, he’s the sideline guy and crosser cuz of no fear, but Claypool aka Canadatron is one of the best high point receivers in the game now.

McFarland does well dancing because he’s quick enough to hit the hole after setting up the blocks. Conner reads the field and sets up blocks but sometimes the hole closes up before he hits it. His physical skill set is more suited to downhill running but it doesn’t seem to be in his nature. Snell needs to get his eyes checked, must be color blind cause all he does is ram into the backs of his own dudes lol. Samuel’s will be gone once they can replace him in special teams, he provides nothing as a running, pass protector, or YAC out of the backfield

@Overtime Dad true to all that. Remember James Connor in 2018 tho?, he literally ran people over like a battering ram all year when he was healthy most of the season. Then all of a sudden next year he’s a different runner altogether, I don’t get that

Evaluating a running game from the angle that we watch it on TV is flawed. There is NOWHERE for ANY of our runningbacks to go. If the hole was there, there would be no need to dance around. We put our guys out there on situational downs and the line is blown up before any of our backs get a running start. I will agree with the Benny Snell comment though… he seems to be the least elusive of our backs, but he is strong as hell.

@Jericho Williams yes I completely agree the offensive line needs a serious rework and I would put most of the blame on them. I think each of our backs besides Samuel’s has something nice to offer but none are probably going to be elite. The elite guys find a way to shine even behind bad lines.
