It’s not only the way he kept his team in the game it was the types of throws he was making that sold me on him. That fade throw in the end zone was a straight up professional throw. On the money tight window and not all QBs can make that type of throw.

Buccs fan here, omg he played a amazing game! So many times the buccs defense were about to get him and he gets away and drops a dime! I feel Washington may have a new qb next year. I love alex for his story and comeback but this guy really needs to atleast given a chance to be the starter. GG you guys played your hearts out.

GG. I think we’ll have a comp between Heinicke and Allen next season. Maybe we have a plan for something else, but I really think it needs to be reconsidered after this. At least give the guy the opportunity to fail first. He has never let us down and should be in the convo as far as I’m concerned.

@dave yea but if given a chance he’ll have an off-season to work with the offense and 1st team. His immediate impact showed his talent. he needs to separate himself by being the best pro he can be by getting better everyday. And i don’t think that the film from yesterday game is enough for teams as most of ability comes from improvising

@Creadel Parker Jr he didnt just throw a few passes. He made accurate throws and kept us in the game. Aside from making huge escape plays that wouldve costed us had alex been playing.
Everyone needs to remember that he has to resign a contract with them now if we see him resign with them I believe he will be considered the starter next year

He is a breath of fresh air, he has commanded the field, his teammates respect him, he has poise in the pocket and he can scramble or take off.
