I think it’s fitting in a time like this to say thank you to all of the doctors, first responders, etc. who are kingdom defenders day in and day out. Thank you to all those who work to protect the players and staff. We love you.

He gives us the talents and gifts to be at the right place at the right time, when we don’t even understand we’re there for a reason! If you prayed, sent donations, wished him well, or even hugged your family extra today, recognizing the frailty of life, you were a part of God’s plan. Mitch reminds me so much of my Dad.

He was a Chiefs season ticket holder for 20 years, a local Hutch radio sports black and white announcer and Pratt Juco Student President and basketball player on scholarship. Only difference was his day job was a funeral director. But he knew all the local pronunciations, local sports teams and where professional athletes came from and where they went to college. The local Christmas basketball tourney in Beatrice would have been something he absolutely knew too.

As a kid I had a hard time making it through the whole game at Arrowhead. It must have been absolutely bittersweet for him when we’d to get the car and pulling out of the parking lot to hear on the radio Mitch say, “Touchdown Kansas City!”.

I could keep going and going on about moments in my life where Mitch and my Dad, together, are forever immortalized in my mind.

DEMAR WOKE UP AND ASKED WHO WON, ITS A FREAKIN’ MIRACLE!!!

In2015 I had sudden cardiac death hit the ground blue went through the same protocols had an1 percent chance of survival let alone being cognitive. Thanks to divine intervention and the st. Luke’s cardiac institute I am still here. The power of prayer is real. To the first responders your work can never be appreciated enough.THANK YOU! MIRACLES DO HAPPEN
