Ben you’ll never be forgotten for the efforts and hard work you’ve put in to this organization

    Smart Maxwell

He’s forgotten he’s a white man in pittsburgh

    Captain Obvious

I literally already forgot this game happened

Matt Funk Fishing

Diante Johnson cost them big. Far to many drops that result in first downs in the first half.

    Greg Plitt

Agreed. He killed two drives in first half. That kills momentum. F U C K!!!!! Well, bring on the draft I guess. Thanks to number 7 for everything.

    krzykris

Definitely. Also throwing deep on third and short when you have a QB without any accuracy on deep routes.

    RiskTakin

Definitely need a wr1 he not it

    Keith Stewart

I agree. Diante Johnson couldn’t catch COVID last night. But that is his MO so I am not surprised. Johnson and Claypool are both too inconsistent and often times don’t show up in big games. We need a dominant receiver who we can count on to take over the game and consistently move the chains and average close to 100 yards per game, someone like a Cooper Cupp, Deandre Hopkins, Davante Adams etc. 20-30 yards in the playoffs just aint cutting the mustard! We will have our work cut out for us in this year’s draft.

    P. Logan

@batterista No way can you single out one player as the sole reason for that loss. Too many failed executions by the team.

Eskeetit Litty

Thanks Ben, sorry the organization has went to complete dumpster fire!

Earl Heath

From a Chiefs fan, it’s been an incredible run for Big Ben. Those will be some very tough shoes to fill for Tomlin. I always loved seeing the Chiefs/Steelers on prime time and just hate thinking that Ben won’t be out there anymore. See you in Canton, my friend. Take care and God bless!

    The Duke Of Dunhurst

@Dante and Kyler as much as I hate Chiefs I agree

    Greggory Henson

Respect, congrats on the win and having Patrick I’m glad if anyone took us out it was 15 , he’s a phenomenal player

    Joseph Santus

@Chenkov Tomlin just simply sucks. There’s no other way to put it…

    Susan Riley

Thank u, Chiefs fan. Much appreciated. I’ll miss Big Ben with all my Steelers heart! Patrick Mahomes rocks! We would b lucky to get a new q.v. with half Mahomes talent&class.

Kelly Giannetti

Born n raised in Pittsburgh…but been out west for a bit… I’ll always be a die hard Steeler fan! Love ya Big Ben …should you retire, thank you for the memories and your hard work n determination!! God bless!

Terry Breedlove

An Era ends and lets go Steelers.

Judy Richards

Studying your opponents sure would help in moving forward. Thanks Steelers 😊 ❤💛🖤

    Pamela Bell

I do agree Judy however, I also think that the team had problems executing. It didn’t seem as though Ben and the receivers were on the same page. Too bad that Harris and Juju were still not 💯 health wise. We need to get receivers in free agency or the draft and now a QB. The defense started well but ran out of gas due to the quick downs. We just didn’t have the team to win like Big Ben said.

    TheBadAIDS

Lmao, you seriously think the organization didn’t study KC all season and before a PLAYOFF game? Your average fan is not very bright. 😂

TiredOfApathy

Ward is looking for a coaching job….HIRE HIM! Teach these young guys to catch! Claypool lacking, Washington has flashes, Johnson lacking! HIRE WARD! Get back to Steelers tenacity! Butler is average and the True 3-4 D needs to return. Offensive call playing is offensive. 30yrs of watching football and the play calling here was not the “Standard!”

    AFCsteel

That’s an absolutely excellent idea, Ward can also teach some of these guys how to block, arguably one of Ward’s best contributions to the team.

    Bob White

    Hopefully Canada gets fired immediately.

    William Klein

Charlie Batch would be excellent Pittsburgh’s Best

RoninSamurai95

Ben Roethlisberger is the greatest franchise player of all time.

    Gene McCahill

Mr. Greene was and is the Greatest Steeler.

    krzykris

Mean Joe is #1, I could accept an argument for Ben as #2.

    Bruce Laroche

I think you can argue a bunch of Steelers the best franchise player. Troy to big Ben to Joe green to the bus to harrison

    Gene McCahill

@Bruce Laroche It’s all about the pelts, my man

Stan Sova

Thank You Ben, and thank you Steelers, you beat the Ravens and made the playoffs, what more could we ask for, well maybe for TJ to make more sacks.

    G'tam S

Exactly !! We swept the ravens .. in 2 exciting games. That’s a great season

    Kurtis Krupka

Yes for TJ Watt.. I was really hoping he would have broken Strahan’s record. He is truly a game changer and an outstanding gifted athlete.

    Heavy Metal Salsa

@G’tam S ‘swept the ravens’ you beat the most injured team in the league at the time. Congrats.

Robert Curry

That had to have been the hardest press conference HC Tomlin had to give after another disappointing loss to KC on the road, last month and tonight in the 1st round of the playoffs. 😔
There certainly will be lots of changes in the off season for Pittsburgh; especially on the offensive side of the ball, now that Big Ben has played his last career NFL game.
As a long time Steelers fan, moving forward, next year may be even difficult for the Steelers to make the playoffs, but still going root for the Black and Yellow of Pittsburgh all the way from California.
Go Steelers! 🏈🏈🏈🖤💛🖤🖤

    Captain Obvious

Wait, Big Ben is going to retire? What the hell? This is the first time I’ve heard this 😞

    Robert Curry

@Captain Obvious it’s not official but after Ben has had a chance to rest and spend time with his family, he will probably make the announcement next month or just before the 2022 NFL season starts on March 1st. Also, on March 1st, Ben becomes a FA.

The- Pokéman

😭😭😭😭 love you ben …thanks for everything you will be missed

Reilley Lacy / REI DOG

Pittsburgh Steelers: Thank you B7G BEN for everything (“Sadness”) 🥺😢

Made it to three SB’s
Won two SB’s
Drafted in 2004
Best coach: Mike Tomlin

Hoodrich Pablo

Thank you MR GUNSLINGER #big Ben hell of career that man remind me of rocky of football never give up even tho he been beating bad most of his career

Joe Andreola

Great job coach, time to get on with your life’s work , whatever that may be, cause it ain’t coaching!!!!

    Steel Phantom

The Steelers get outplayed and out coached again.SMH

Mark Carlson

Ben, thank you for all the great games and the memories you gave us. I hope the Steeler organization wont wait for another 25 years before we see another superstar Quarterback. They went from 1980 till 2004 when Ben came.

    krzykris

It was about 20 to 21 years between Bradshaw and Ben, ’83 or ’84 to ’04. But it took a Chuck Knoll retirement.

    Mark Carlson

@krzykris i tought Bradshaw hung it up after the 1980 superbowl win?

SunnyD

An end to an amazing era…

Ben has thrown for 28% of all Steelers pass plays in the history of the organization

    krzykris

He played in a passing era.

    WgcDs7 JyG

Well, of course he did. When you play for 90 years, you’re bound to rack up passing yards.

Daily Llama

He’s the first Steelers coach to go 8-9 in the playoffs.

    Anthony Hilton

Dam they made the playoffs and Ben Rothelsburger s last game and thats all you got to say. Get a life

    21DaHoagie12

@Anthony Hilton stop making excuses for mediocrity and failure, you’re embarrassing the franchise more than tomlin already has for the last decade

Ivanna Storms- Thompson

Big Ben, as long as I’ve been a Steelers fan you were at the helm. I fell in love with this team one Thanksgiving in 2004 when I watched you whip the browns butt. I only love the team more today. You weren’t perfect but I always believed in you and the way you could rally the team around. Best of luck in your endeavored. For the sake of being fair though, you too were not perfect this game. I hope you will return to the team in some other capacity. I’m sure you have a lot you could continue to contribute as a new era begins.

Pretty Red Janet Taylor

Great season Pittsburgh Steelers. We will get them next season. Great Job Coaches and players
