My childhood hero! Thank you Ben for all the great memories screaming my head off at the TV!

Cameron Knight

Ben💔. Love you so much. I was 7 and when I started watching you and now I’m 25. I was inspired by you to pursue playing QB in HS. Even outside of football you taught me, things don’t always go and look the prettiest but just gotta find a way to get it done when it counts. You’ll always be my Hero. 7 forever🖤💛. What hurts the most is we couldn’t get you one more 2017-2018 u shoulda got one… and i know you kept coming back and gave it all you had to try to give us one more. We love you Ben! Excited for your next chapter!

    Mrn1c3Guy760

Your a true embodiment of a Steelers day one glad to have you on board…. Steelers Nation stands with you

    GC33

Same here! I was born in ‘96 into Steelers fandom and grew up watching him. Truly an inspiration and a childhood hero. So many memories through the years. We had the offense back in 2017-2018 to keep up with Kansas City and it sucks because now we have a really good defense. Either way, #7 will be in Canton one day. Much respect bro…GO STEELERS⚫️🟡⚫️🟡⚫️🟡⚫️🟡⚫️🟡

    WS6 1997

    Classy man????????? Really??

    Marty Breeden

@WS6 1997  yea, that may not have been the best choice of words…classy on the field might be better😉😊

    WS6 1997

Dude, is a shady character…. I’ll leave it at that

D. Szarko

Sad to see him go! I’m not even a steelers fan but Ben is the real deal! Thank you 7! Great competition all these years!

Micah B.

Still remember my boy coming in with a Roethlisberger jersey, and he was still the best rookie I’ve ever seen. Genuinely spent half my life watching him.

    Ohio Grassman

Me too half my life I watched this guy every Sunday. Even though i call myself “Ohio” on here I am originally from Pittsburgh.

    BIG ED🇺🇦

    my entire life its sad

I’ve been a Steeler fan for 15 years, I’m now 24. Watching you (Ben) play the entire 2005-2006 season is what drew me in when I was just 9 years old. You and Hines Ward will always be my all time favorite Steelers. This team has taught me no matter what the circumstances, you can always succeed if you never give up. Thank you for the great memories, #7 💛🖤

    irae.k

Dude same here. 15th year as a fan, 24yrs old now lol. Hines and Ben duo was def special.

@irae.k god y’all are making me feel old, although I just turned 32, I also started watching 2004 era. Miss those times! I’m a Bengals fan, so I do have grudging respect for him lol. Hall of fame bound!

    Brody Isom

Same I’m 25 and that 2005-2006 season following ben and the bus got me into football

    CptClutch13

Great season of football except that Super Bowl of course

TB 12

It’s honor to watch your play for 18 seasons with the steelers. Your 18 seasons with the steelers is the longest tenure for any QB in nfl history to play with just one team. And you have never recorded losing season for 18 seasons. Finally you gave two super bowl titles to the steelers. Your career deserves to be deeply respected. I will miss you. Thank you Big Ben.

    Average

Ben had a couple losing seasons, it’s Tomlin who still doesn’t have one yet

    Gage Vapes

@Average that’s not true actually Ben had a couple seasons at .500 but he never had season below even when bill was the head coach

    Gage Vapes

@Average ben has been with Tonkin for the last 15 years and with bill for 3 before that with zero losing seasons

Kaitlyn McKenzie

Thank you Big Ben!! Steelers Nation appreciates everything you have done for us! God bless you and your family. #retire7 #futureHOF

I always felt that way to, all the way to the very end !!

Dary Kinnaman

I remember when Big Ben first hit the field. He was a history maker from the beginning for the Steelers Nation. Thank you, Ben, you are awesome. I hope I get to meet you someday and tell you in person. Congratulations on a great career! ❤

    bonn bonnzz

Yesss! I remember also! 💛🖤🏈 Can’t believe how old we have all gotten since then 😆

    Bethenna Thomas

I remember like it was yesterday! Greatest memory was when he asked the Bus for 1 more year after that loss. I cried like a baby when the Bus retired and I will do so when he announces officially. #7willalwaysbemyqb

Even as a ravens fan I’m a lil sad. Ben made the rivalry so good. Legend

    Bruce Laroche

I’m Steelers through and through but felt same about Ray when he left

    Stan Tuggs

It’s a nasty rivalry, but I don’t think there is a lack of respect from either side!

Steve dunlop

Respect from a Chiefs fan. He was a worthy adversary.

    Rick Western

@747Heavy Boeing i understand i just myself at home watching tv wanted to stand and give him a standing ovation. My send off for a great quarterback.

    Xavier Garcia

@enfelice You are not your worst moment.

“God blessed me with the ability to throw a football…” That’s awesome.

Robert Curry

Big Ben truly explified a great, humble attitude in experiencing a loss, retiring and completing the next chapter of his life as a Christian and doing the will of God for Ben’s life and his wife/family’s life.
Thank you Ben, for all you accomplished in your 18 years in the Pittsburgh Steelers Organization. God bless you, Ben and the Rothelisberger Family as well. 🙂👍🙏🙏🙏✝️📖

Jay Boyd

I feel like Terrell Owens when he was crying saying “that’s my quarterback” 😢😩 we’ll miss you Big Ben! Thank you for 3 Super Bowl experiences and just overall being a great Quarterback, you’re definitely appreciated!

As a 50-year Steeler fan (I was 21 in 1972 when I fell in love with Steelers) I thank Ben for all the thrills he has given not only to Steeler fans, but the NFL as well. An 18-year career, 3 Super Bowl appearance, big time rivalries in the AFC North and a master at the position all with one team. Thanks for the memories Ben, I enjoyed watching you… enjoy your family in retirement… and we’ll see you in Canton in five years.
