So proud of this team. NEXT MAN UP! GUYS WILL ONLY GET BETTER!! HEART BREAKING SEEING DAN SKIPPER CRY AND ASK WHAT CAN HE DO AFTER BEING CUT! GLAD HE’S BACK AND HELPED US!

    Detroit Made

    @Jimmy Nerdtron Wym?🤔

    paul thomas

@Jimmy Nerdtron he filled in for our very injured offensive line. helping us move the offense to score. we thought we would lose with so many injured offensive linemen.

    Eric Phillips Sr.

@Jimmy Nerdtron You didn’t see him blocking for Swift?

    DukeofGames50

@Jimmy Nerdtron offensive linemen are those players you never hear about unless they do something wrong, 99% of the time. don’t feel bad for not knowing their names as a casual fan. hardcore fans may lay into people not knowing the individual players well enough, we as a fanbase need to recognize this 🙂

    OG K

It’s an amazing moment, yeah? Such a cool thing to see.

Robert Griffis

The look on Dan Skipper’s face… ❤️❤️❤️🦁🏈

Skipper — all 6-foot-9 of him — wound up kicking inside to guard, a position he had never played, to make the first start in his six-year NFL career. “Hey man, I mean, it’s my sixth year in the league,” Skipper told MLive after the game. “I’ve never made a team. It’s tough. You go in, and you’re never quite good enough. You’re not quite enough. You show up every day, and you think you’re doing the right things, and just for whatever reason, it just doesn’t quite work out. I think I’ve had 20 NFL contracts? They’re not worth the paper they’re written on, right? So, it’s like, here we go again. Six years, I think things look good, and it sucks.” Glad he got his shot and his call out too.

    teehud313

@Jetsam Peres good for him. He deserves it. Thanks

Timothy Ross

Let’s go Lions! So happy to see the win! Proud of the grit! Off to Minnesota I feel our second win coming!! #GoLions #OnePride

Alan Holmes

Keep building! Winning is necessary to keep them buying into and trusting coaching. They have to see results to solidify the process works which will build trust. Keep going forward!! Great job today 1 win down another 6 or 7 needed this yr!

Myron Muhammad

Mike McNally

Was at Ford field today might have been the best vibes I’ve ever felt as a lion fan in almost 25 years of seeing them live! One Pride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Jim Chaney

    How loud did it get!?

    DukeofGames50

@Jim Chaney loud enough for at least one delay of game. Lol did you see Carson clapping for the ball? 😹 That was so good

    Jake Clements

@Jim Chaney had my eardrums ringing every 3rd down brother lol

    Jake Clements

    KUTLESS__DOT__COM

    🔥🔥😎😎

    DukeofGames50

hey jynx appreciate you, it’s awesome seeing wholesome GGs from the other side W or L. can you do us a favor and escort “ALL HAIL THE COMMANDERS” out of the comment sections of the videos all last week? i think that guy was a bit of a ragey drunk the whole time to us 😀 he may need to hitch a ride from a DD

    2kold24 2

they let the big plays get to them in 1st half. didn’t do simple things like take Touch back instead of running it out. Carson taking the simple check down instead of holding the ball for to long.

Joseph Hanicak

The Lions truly have an amazing culture. And this is the first time in a long, long while that we can say that. You can just tell, the coaches have buy-in. The players want to win, not for themselves, but for their brothers in that locker room. I can honestly say that regardless of how much these Lions win, this will be one of my favorite teams in a long while.

MICHIGAN

Incredibly happy for Skipper. He showed out today against a very good defensive line and I think no one should have any doubts with him in the trenches

disturbia13

Commanders fan here, obviously sad we lost today but super proud of the culture Campbell is establishing in Detroit 💯💯

    Hunt Living

@LionKing , thanks for the compliment, but I think eagles will us, because I feel their defense will make a few more plays against our high octane offense vs our defense against the eagles high octane offense. The game will go over 50 points. I can see the score being similar to us vs yall 36 to 27

    Xza'Viur Aurai

Eagles fan here… hmm see I respect the game the birds and lions played, y’all definitely aren’t anywhere as bad** as most think; commanders learned that today.

That said the birds have a coaching liability just like the Broncos do. For them it’s their head coach Hackett, they’re a loaded team but thanks to him they almost lost 2 straight.

For the Eagles it’s Gannon, the defense coordinator; the eagles have hella talent on defense but his schemes are horrendous and almost let ya lions come back roaring. If we had a good DC, I’m sorry but you lions would’ve lost atleast 38 to 21.

That said it was no blowout like last season so definitely feel good about that.

    TW

@TC much better coaching in Detroit. We have one talent in Scott Turner but JDR and RR are past due and the game has passed them by

    Jeremy Gibson

Washington made a bid. Good game!

    Jeremy Gibson

@DukeofGames50 Cant really choose a play that won or lost a game because if that pick six didn’t happen who knows how it could have changed the future outcome of the game. Just like if you were to travel back in time and change it’s course. Now if that pick six did not happen and we could assume the rest of the game would have the same exact outcome with the same exact movements, thoughts and decisions by everyone that occurred after the pick six, then yeah! You could blame the pick six. Na! We lost by a pick six! 😄

Tyler Chauvet

Lions offense is for real, Defense made big plays when they needed them. Hell of a win against a solid team, Minnesota is going to be tough but I think it’s a close game either way.

    davon chism

Yeah offense is very dynamic, defense on other hand not, but defense is very scrappy and has its moments

41

Wasn’t rooting for the Lions today, but I think they’re building something special. Pulling for them the rest of the way.

    OG K

As a Lions lifer… thanks. You probably don’t know just how much it means to me to read your words. Really appreciate you for this.

    J.M.V Official

@OG K hell yeah brother me too, we got this we just have to stay focused and aspire greatness! At our best we could’ve beaten the eagles

Carson Claws

Our defense had a shut out for an entire first half, scored 36 points with half of our OL hurt, Amon Ra was the biggest steal of the draft. Swift is a beast. Hutch showed out. Brad Holmes is a actual GM. Go lions!

    PkmnTrainer Ian

Love to see Swift stepping up to his potential and breaking it down at the end of the vid. I was a little concerned during Hard Knocks whether or not he had that “dawg mentality” that Duce sees, but after the these couple games and seeing up break the huddle down at the end of the vid, my mind is starting to change. This year is his breakout year. And Brad Holmes has already proven what a hell of a GM he is and how smart he is with the draft. 2-3 years, after he brings in a QB and a LB (as the Lions two biggest needs atm), they should be competing in the postseason year after year. #RestoreTheRoar

    QuezJ81

First time we’ve been able to say that right!? lol

    dpowers1185

Have to mention Rodrigo contributing as a 6th round pick. Love to see Holmes actually do what we hired him to do. 🤞

Dawson Ages

Was at the game today and idk what to even say…. But OH MY GOD…… the culture has changed… fans are invested. The players are ready. It actually feels great to be a Lions fan. Win or lose, they remind me of football of yesterday. The football we all fell in love with

Jason Tamras

As a bears fan, I truly think in the next few years this division will be between the lions and Vikings. You guys have a very promising future with a lot of great young players. Now you have a great culture as well. A lot to look forward to for you guys!

    Kee Ozzie

    Mad Respect from Detroit 🤙

    Bucks After Dark

While divination will be shidding on the packers by 2024

    Jonathan Frimerman

    I know right??
    Bears are leaving CHI
GB will be worse with no Adams and soon rodgers
Vikes with oconnell and DET will be the favores for the nfc north for a long term of time starting in 2023

William Robinson

Eagles fan here..nothing but love…I love the heart displayed in all your games! You guys fight till the end and I have nothing but respect for that! If other teams aren’t prepared to fight then they need to E-mail their forfeiture. Keep fighting! Stay together! It will all manifest!

Hunt Living

As a Commanders fan, yall got me emotional off this speech. Its been a long time for yall as well, just like us. Great game Lions. Yall fought harder and yall deserve the W

Carl Arrahman

I was born and raised in Detroit almost 60 years ago. The closest I’ve ever seen the Lions to a super bowl was an NFC championship game in 1991 against the Washington Redskins. They blew us out 41 to 10 I believe the score was. And they really haven’t made any noise since then of any significance. But Dan Campbell And his coaching staff has this team on different mental level. They not only believe they can win, but they’re starting to think that they are supposed to. And when some of our key additions are healthy and come back sky’s the limit. If they keep going in this direction a super bowl isn’t out of the question in two or three years. THE ROAR IS FINALLY BEING RESTORED. GO LIONS

    Jeremy Gibson

What they really needed and still need to do is make these negative SOL fans shut up and quit counting their team out after one game. This team has always needed to shake that negativity. Like you said, they are starting to believe they should win. Just need to get these negative SOL fans to have the same positive belief.
