Ok I love the win only bc I do actually believe Ridder can be our franchise QB1 ( I preferred him out of everyone in the draft class) and he starts off 1-0 @Home….it’s sad we didn’t get to see more of him…
He’s gotten better both weeks after that horrible debut… I say we draft 2 D Linemen(DT, DE/OLB) , a young Mauler at LG, WR, another LB , S and TE… In Free agency I would attack the Center position , DLine ,CB , S , WR & possibly another RT (though Mcgary played admirably this yr and may get an extension)
Ridder needs more evaluation and talent around him. He does have the “IT FACTOR” tho, #composure … We’ll be just fine next year when we have over double the cap space we had this yr and the game is slower for Ridder… I def see a clear direction and a developing identity. #RiseUp

Agree with every single word of this, verbatim. It’s like you typed this for both of us. I also believe Ridder has that “IT” factor and is going to be QB1 and an excellent multi-threat weapon in Smith’s scheme. We get the defensive help you mentioned and beef up the OL, particularly with a proven, above-average center in FA to anchor Smith’s run game, and the Falcons are going to be in the playoffs in 2023.

The problem is a win is not a win everytime. The Falcons barely survived winning against a team 4-11 so no this is not improvement. Fotenot, Smith, and Ragone need to be replaced immediately. 13-20 does not represent 3 years of winning period. So it’s time to admit the experiment has gone badly wrong and bring in some serious individuals for these positions gm, head coach, and offensive coordinator. Those three now available in Atlanta interviewing with Blank starts soon.
