Pickett is the real deal

@Washed I’ve not seen anything impressive from Pickett and he cannot read the pocket. If he starts he will get bulldozed. He’s not reading the field and just getting the ball out to the closest receiver. He’s not that good
@Chris 19/22 3 tds and 178 yards seems good to me. His pocket presence is the best among all rookie QBs and his poise
@Washed yea.. 80% of those yards are after the catch. When he can throw a deep ball I’ll be impressed. I understand you’re a Pitt fan, but this isn’t college

Steelers couldn’t run but that was more about the jags defense. They defense looks really good . If the offense and kicking unit can do average, their defense will win them a few games this year..

@Jeff both teams held out a few players at most but other than that it was starters vs starters. Did you not watch the coaches before the games? Or check the website on how the coaches both said starters would play the first half?

@AbleAnderson yeah I hope your coaches get something done about that because my jags are still getting everything together as far as chemistry with new teammates so we’re not exactly clutch but when we’re on we’re on. So if the Steelers go up against a team that’s got really consistent rush on the D-Line y’all’s QB and RB are going to have a hard time doing positive things if they don’t have any time or room to do it. I deff know what that looks like being a jags fan. There’s been plenty of years where our Line was getting our QBs killed. It was like watching a car wreck on every play sometimes
I think jags played good, if they get better in the red zone they’ll be a solid team all around. Good game by the Steelers as well.

@ZipLockLewy actually we have Witherspoon as our CB1 on the outside & it’s been well documented throughout training camp that Sutton & Levi Wallace are battling for the #2 spot. The loser of that second spot will be in the slot, and as of right now it’s looking like it will be Cam Sutton left for the slot.
@Heath N Hilton is not a starting cb. He’s way too small and you can’t justify spending money on a sub package player like that. I’d rather trade off Claypool and bush to chi for roquan Smith than to keep Hilton.
Literally every time it’s 3rd and long and we need a big stop we give up a huge 1st down play. It’s so predictable

Trevor Lawrence looks sooo much better so far this preseason, defense is looking solid as well. Would like to see jags starting offense close out more drives with touchdowns.

You can see the immediate impact Doug and this staff has had on this Jaguars team, specifically on Lawrence. Dude looks like his old Clemson self out there.
As a jaguars fan we will see this is preseason but overrall he gotta step up if we wanna win games I want him to be successful but we will see for this season

Crazy thing about that interception is the safety and the corner weren’t even on the same page. Could’ve easily been a touchdown. Pickett looks composed. Mason closed out the game. Mitch cannot hold on to the ball like #7.Hopefully the O-line isn’t tanking for Mitch. And the defense needs to learn how to wrap the defender and drive them into the ground. That’s fundamental tackling. Gonna be a long season but I think we will do consistently well for this year. The future looks good tho.

So nice to see trevor actually looking like his old clemson self out there a little bit. And this looks almost like a baby version of the old Sacksonville defense. Can’t wait to see what this team grows into over the season.

Finally arden key is who arden key should be im a raider fan and i wanted him to shine like he is for the jaguars but for some reason he just couldn’t get it going plus he had broke his foot and that was it.
Ik the defense isnt as consistent as the old sacksonville defense but it shows flashes.

My loyalties lie with Pittsburgh, but it’s good to see a Jags team with some life in it! That front seven looked mean.
Old school rivalry for us. This is the game I look for . Jags and steelers. We’ve gone back and forth so hard. Competitive like brothers. Duval all day. But respect big older brother. We just love spoiling yalls season😂

That Vaughns guy on the Steelers has been stepping up when it comes to clutch drives. He scored that game winner last week and played a huge part on the last drive this week. He might make the roster.

Trubisky would be so good with an offensive line. His speed is protecting him. I think the steelers should work on their offensive line alot.
