Would rather overthrow them than throwing it to the defence which he was doing in his first few starts👏

There are like 10-15 stadiums that feel like home games for the Steelers. There was a chargers game about a decade ago where there was nothing but black and gold, you didn’t see chargers jerseys anywhere. I would say any team that hasn’t won a SB in a decade and isn’t in the AFC North is a home game. Even the game in Dallas a few years ago was 50-50.

really impressed with Kenny Pickett’s progress, great win Steelers !!! and you guys got yourselves a worthy successor to Big Ben, Mike Tomlin still finds a way to get it done!! 5-7 and still in the playoff hunt
The progress means that Tomlin MIGHT actually end up over .500 this year after all! (And if he doesn’t, it’ll be close to that mark, and people will understand he had a rookie QB AND his best defensive player was hurt for much of the season.)
If TJ Watt wasn’t hurt they would be better than 5-7

Kenny hasn’t thrown an interception in 128 straight completions. Very impressive for a rookie. His football IQ is off the charts already according to Tomlin. He’s going to be one of the better signal callers down the road.

He rlly has been smart with the football taking what the defense is giving him and making necessary throws down field. Those 2 3 interceptions games early on rlly hurt his stats
@youngbaldi He’s already suggesting plays to Tomlin and Canada, that says a lot for a rookie to be suggesting plays in only his 8th game as a starting quarterback at the highest level. Tomlin has said his football IQ is really high. His biggest issue is the speed of the game, making faster and quicker accurate throws in tight windows. Troy Aikman said it took him a while to get used to the speed of the game to make those kind of throws. As far as reading defenses, Kenny is doing it pretty well already like you said, taking what the defense gives him.
@james dowd your right about the speed of the game part but a lot of rookies have struggled with that Peyton Manning threw 30 picks in this rookie year and he went on to be one of the greatest to ever play the game Kenny Pickett showing confidence and poise at a rookie shows signs that he can be a good qb in this league Pittsburghs got a bright future ahead of them a couple good draft picks and they are contenders

As a Falcons fan, I am not impressed with Marcus’ accuracy. Probably would have won a few more games if he could hit open receivers downfield. I hope he works on this I thought he would be better than this. I want our rookie to get some playing time and see how the team responds to him.
Then go show us how it’s done…….go be a nfl quarterback with defensive lineman and linebackers breathing down your neck every play.
His receivers gotta get open and his offensive line needs to give him time.
That’s always been his issue. Accuracy or lack of it.
@Billy Yank He doesn’t face anything that other NFL quarterbacks face and can still make the throws that win games. I like Marcus; he just seems out of sync.
You already know Bernhardt clicked real well with Ridder during the preseason (sucks that he’s in IR right now…)
Ridder has a better arm than Mariota does and is the faster running QB in the league right now, so I think he would be an improvement over Mariota from multiple aspects. Hopefully he syncs up real well with the current starters and plays some good games to finish the year.
@Xbox Bam I like Ridder. Despite the smokescreens if the Steelers didn’t get Pickett, they were going to draft Ridder not Willis.

I was SO impressed by Micah Fitzpatrick going out of bounds at the 5 instead of trying to fight for a touchdown on his INT. If he goes out of bounds, there’s basically a 100% chance the Steelers win. But if he fights for that touchdown and fumbles, disaster could happen. That’s a veteran knowing the situation and putting the sure win in front of his own stat line.

@Baba Ganush highly unlikely yes. But it happened earlier this year in the Jets vs Browns game. Nick Chubb scored instead of going down to end the game. Jets get a touchdown, onside kick, and another touchdown to win the game.
Yeah…winning the Steeler way. Fitz could have padded his stats, but no need to run up the score. I tend to favor Steelers that were drafted by the team but you can’t help but support and like players Fitz who came via trade. Bettis and Kevin Greene also come to mind.

Freiermuth is the new Heath Miller!! We had a horrendous start to the season and things don’t look great for 2022 playoffs, but the future is bright for this roster.
He’s better. He’s way more athletic.
Pat Freiermuth has turned out to be an extremely consistent player, and he is so damn talented.

I knew Kenny had it him because of his high volume throwing ability. He’s throwin 25+ passes a game and decision making starting to look better each week. Don’t want to speak to soon but we may have another franchise quarterback y’all 😃
