“They didn’t really have the right cooks in the kitchen”π
These kitchen, cooking jokesπ€£π
I want Mayfield under centre more. He should be able to play like that now but he still needs to feel comfortable because he isn’t the tallest cat.
Baker can play under center but he’s good in the shotgun too at Oklahoma they would run the draw from the shotgun to keep the defense honest sooner rbs had big gains on draw plays
He does well in the shotgun with quick throws but with the new additions to the offensive line he should be able to throw deep out of shotgun like he did at OU.
@Irish Gypsy 6’1″ is not the standard height for playing the postion. You’re idiotic for being in denial.
I love you Kevin Stefanski π
So, I’m big into analytics, and for this reason I love the FO the Browns have put together. But can somebody help me understand something?
If passing is always a way better strategy, why is Stefanski so good at running an offense? He Runs the ball a lot.
@Andrew Blackman Yeah, but hasn’t research shown that play action works even without increased dependence on the run game?
@bomo keller I think the research shows that rushing does not affect the success of play action. However, it seems that play action *might* improve the success of the run game. Likely Stefanski believes this and therefore runs the ball a lot.

@Josh Flash thanks! it would improve the run game enough to make the run as or more valuable than the pass?
Passing isn’t always better. That is just PFF propaganda that they try and brainwash people with to sell their stats. PFF is great for analyzing mediocre to good players and teams but they consistently miss on elite players who don’t fit their model. Completely ignore them on football strategy ( rbs and the running game don’t matter) and qb assessment ( Darnold and Rosen are better than Lamar).
@Josh Flash : I’m tempted to say nonsense but I haven’t read the stats. However, I’ve never ever ever ever seen a team be consistently successful at play action without a consistent run game. I would like to see what teams are rushing at 30 to 50 yards a game and still have successful play action. Also how many games are they winning with this non rushing offense?
The browns dissin their ex HC
He must’ve really burnt some bridges when he left lol
Anyone would and probably should. Dude was so bad he got his gm fired because him ever becoming a head coach highlighted the inner-disfunction of the Browns front office.
Well let’s go with Freddie Kitchens history in the NFL. Hes was in the league 12yrs. He got to step up as interim Offen Coord. in 2018 for the last 8games. Did pretty decent. Then he goes to HC and hands over entire Offensive scheme to Todd Munken???? Horrible play calling. Now after being fired he got picked up as TEs coach of NY Giants !! Says alot about his knowledge. Nobody goes from Off. Coord. to HC to TEs coach after 14 seasons unless ur that bad
bubbadelux What boomed in 2018 wasnβt his offense either, as well. That was Haleyβs and the entire staff pitched in to select what would work best for Mayfield and the team.
bubbadelux Yes that is correct. Those were monken plays. Freddie screwed up when he changed the entire playbook. He shouldβve stuck with what made him successful in the 18β season. Lot more quick passes and two tight end sets.
Kevin!!!!!!
Give Gary Kubiak credit for that MIN offense
No because even Kubiak has said that is was Kevin who was fully in charge of the offense and it was he who brought Kubiak in as an advisor.
The kitchen just wasn’t organized enough.
If coach Stefanski runs the offense like I think he will… Baker will be a top ten QB and Chubb will be the rushing leader this year!! I think this will be Cleveland’s year to turn some heads so don’t sleep on us… Ha Ha Ha!! Dawg Pound Baby!! Go BROWNS!! ππ
If Chubb stays healthy he should be the NFL rushing leader,Hunt will have a good year too if he’s not traded by the deadline
@Sandman Huffmaster I completely agree with you and honestly, Jarvis and OBJ will have better seasons, if Baker can stay healthy!! Dawg Pound Baby!! Go BROWNS!! ππ
Chubb with 2 Elite new Offensive Lineman, might go for 2,000 Yards!
nope im not falling for it the season
When the kneeling starts the NFL gets turned off over here
Ah okay
nobody asked. nobody cares.
browns D on paper is to weak , the O is good , the fan base will take what ever the ownership puts out and cheer the browns . the sale job is push the O hide the D , a tried and productive path of ownership . great teams get rings not a great O .cowboys had 1st rank D last year there were 8-8 and missed the playoffs .points on the board can’t be taken off , a great D carries the O by keeping the points off the board . on paper a 500% year not a playoff team . the O can get to the super bowl with a great D
Browns have the ability defensively to yield a top 5 unit on the DL, an above average to good secondary, and an underwhelming. The Browns scheme theyβre trying to implement will only require 1 or 2 LBs and 5-6 DBs. If Ward can stay healthy and the DL dominates the defense can be solid enough to propel them to 9 or 10 wins. If they play above that expectation and are good across the board this team definitely has 12-4 potential
Ok weβll see.
(4 and 12) or short season (2 and 12). Or shorter season (1 and 7).
Or a 32 team playoff system and they could win the Super Bowl.
Iβm just here for the kitchen puns
