Pete was still a good coach 5-6 years ago, but he’s lost his mojo. Most of new young coaches play to win and are aggressive. Pete is the old breed trying to hold onto the past glory playing not to lose. He is already the worst HC in our division. Without Russ, he would have been fired years ago! Time to retire and take Ken Norton with you.

Pete was in charge. He knows and approves of what Norton is doing. Pete needs to go. He is hurting this team. Plenty of good prospects to take his place.

@Andrew Spark Our coaching staff don’t know how to handle mobile QB’s. Ironic considering we have one of the better ones in Russ that they practice against every day… Our star players are not performing up to their expectations and our coaching staff is not putting them in a position to excel. Very bad combination. Luckily we still have games against the AFC and NFC East opponents, but this team is struggling… Too bad we have 5 years of Pete Carroll as our coach… Will waste away RW’s prime years…

@SPICY BACON Sure hope you’re right. It just feels like a big shift that is taking into some dark times. I actually thought that it might be the right time to trade Russ, get a few 1st round picks and get our new Russ as well as some new defensive weapons

@Anthony Newhouse I would not take the gamble of finding a new Russ, as we wouldn’t. Hall of fame/franchise qb’s are too hard and rare to come by to just trade because of a bad stretch of 3 games, we will be alright. This team is a couple defensive players short (primarily d-line and CB/ new DC would help too) of being really good. I get where your coming from. I just think we need to weather the storm or whatever that term is. Over the years I’ve learned to not count out these guys, especially Russ.

Just like he held on to Daryl for probably an additional three seasons past where he should have, because they’re “buddies” and he had a long history with Schneider as well. It actually took Paul Allen stepping in to get him out of this organization.
