A little pain now will hopefully pay off BIG in the draft! I think next season is going to be much better.

    Rocky Stonecypher

    😂

    Tyler L

Can’t wait for next season to. Love when hawk fans get let down!! Makes for a good year.

    epa316

@Tyler L Whadaya mean “let down?” This is what I was COUNTING on! Lose out and up our draft picks. Seahawks are headed UP, unlike the donkeys and their quarter billion dollar washed up qb.

    James Peters

@B Rus more then that… we need to trade down the Denver pick for hopefully 3-1st rounders this and next year and maybe even trade down again to someone looking for a Franchise LT. Need C like yesterday, DTs, and legit bigger WR to pair in the outside opposite of DK to stretch the field. Can’t wait to see what we do with at C and RG Jackson been stealing money all year…him and Jefferson

    Zzz Zzz

We need that 6’4 WR Quentin Jonson at 15 with DK and Lockett

Harvey Chibana

Shane Waldron’s offense is so imaginative, so deceptive, lots of misdirection, can’t imagine why the hawks can’t score more points.

    Ryan Bowen

    I sense sarcasm.

Adam Walker

THE DEFENSE WAS AWESOME TODAY !thanks Pete ! Nice to have walker back ! GENO .that was brutal cold! time to warm things up!!Happy Christmas Pete ! GO HAWK’S! on To the next! BELIEVE! WERE STILL IN THIS !

    Christopher Tutson

They scored 24 points. Where’s the awesome at. We need shut down corners on both sides, another top receiver, DL OG and C plus another running back also a safety that can play all over the field

    Champagne Lanier

    Kc defense was better

    Bobby SavageHill

“Confidence, it’s the food of the wise man but the liquor of the fool.”

    I appreciate the optimism though.

Richard Kosoff

This team just isn’t good enough yet. I think Pete is getting more out of these guys than most coaches would. We need better linebackers and D line. Next draft!!

    Christopher Tutson

Pete’s way of coaching is horrible. The LOB could have won the Super Bowl without him, the players was just that good. After Russ and LOB where have the Seahawks been. Pete only likes running and calls self a defensive coach but the defense is inconsistent . His coaching is so predictable that why any defense could stop the Seahawks. I noticed this early in the season they did a trick play which the offense coordinator did he should be the coach. Pete can be VP to John

    Snow Tiger

it’s just the opposite dude. coaching isn’t upto the level you can see clearly when we play good teams

    Mir Hunch

Totally agree we’ll draft a qb like around the 3,4 round but not the first round or second we need our front fix and linebackers n some secondary players to but that much in the secondary

    T J

@Christopher Tutson yes, the players could run the asylum and put up the best defense 4 years straight. Sherman needed no coaching coming out as a WR convert and late round pick. You people saying Pete is the problem are delusional.

    Stoyan Stoyanov

@Christopher Tutson fans are inpatient! This sport you can’t have both def and off because of the cap! We decided to pay Russ and while he was winning games we were ok with our mediocre def but now that Russ is gone and Pete is trying to be more def oriented team he needs that next season to be able to rebuild properly! This season was amazing honestly! Could t have been better! Fans need to understand that this is a process! Having 10 seasons of success made us spoiled and now we expect to be with winning record because why??? Of course it’s the coach if it’s not the coach it’s the GM if it’s not him it will be the owner if it’s not the owner it will be gods fault lol!!

Richard Kosoff

Chiefs missed several third down conversations because their receivers dropped the pass not because of our defense 🙄

Sholtzi

Need better fat guys, no way around it. The interior O-line and D-line have both REALLY struggled this year. Seems like we have no push up front whenever Shane wants to get the power run game going, and when the other team starts rolling like with Carolina, we can’t make a tackle in the backfield to save our life.

Joey Hopkins

I’m not sure how any of u can be positive about the product being put on the field. Hopefully we can fill some big whole on the DLine cuz the no pressure whatsoever is embarrassing

cory wiggins

We improved from last year.., and won more games then people thought.

C L

My biggest problem with Geno Smith is he almost never uses his legs to run, I think his biggest flaw is not wanting to run. He is probably one of the five fastest QB’s in the league. If I am coach and I have an athletic QB, I want my QB to know when to use his legs and get first downs with them.

    C L

If you have an ability, you need to use it. Look at someone like Josh Allen, or Jalen Hurts, neither are as fast as Geno, but running the ball when they see the opening is so crucial to their teams success. If Geno didnt have the legs, I wouldnt ask him to use them. A dual threat is way harder to defend against.

    C L

@James Peters Ok what about when you cant protect and block effectively, then should you use those legs.

    C L

@Team Dinosaurs Its not just this game, he has run on occasion but not nearly enough. He has a tremendous arm and I think is in love with the idea of being a pure pocket QB, he should use those legs at leasr 5 times a game and can pick up some big chunks of yards when needed.

Somebody getting a positive out of a negative. A true DieHard Seahawk fan, it’s no finger pointing no excuses let’s go guys on to the next one. This is been one of the funnest years for me as a Seahawks fan to watch. I’ve been spoiled year-round and I can’t wait until next year cuz it’s only going to get sweeter.

    $mizz

I appreciate the positive. I have to admit. This last month and a half or so has really had me in my emotions screaming at the screen just frustrated with the product that I see on the field. But after the game when a cooler had finally prevails I realize how young this team is and how many rookies are on the field and the injuries we’ve had again this year (losing Adam’s and Penny has been bad for us as well as Lockett and Woods) and I remember that these kids are going to be so much better next year and we have a killer draft especially in the 1st and 2nd where we can land some serious help if played right and I begin to get excited for next season. My expectations at the beginning of the season were non existent, but then the Hawks won 6 of their first 9 games and I fell into old expectations. Anyway I’m glad to see so many true Hawks fans committed. It’s nothing but love and respect for you all. And thank you for helping to ground me and to see what needs to be seen. Go Hawks!!!! Onto the next one. Let’s win this season out and go out with a winning record!!!! But if not so be it. It’ll be on to the off-season where work can be done to strengthen this team to make some noise next year. Whichever the end result count me in!!

    Marco Lopez

I’m happy with 9-8 . Playoffs are a marine though

Frank Aspuria

home game or away the seahawks still cannot get it done to win they have so much plenty of time and opportunity to win but they lost it. Geno needs to be more aggressive, controlling, and focusing during the game time.

James Peters

It’s OK PETE, kids are getting expierence and next year we’ll have money and picks to solidify more capital into the DLine and OLine

Jeremy Nadeau

Lots of good stuff. Tough loss. Next year, can’t wait!

akshay padmanabhan

Tough opponent. Defense wasn’t bad considering what mahomes can do. Hope once tyler is back the offense can start humming.

    Champagne Lanier

Wasn’t so much of your defense KC wrs just dropped balls.

Tommy Eden

More Pete applogists I am sure in these comments, personally I am ready for a new direction. The direction of this team is trending down, not up like I had hoped at this point in the season. So many fans are content with the way this team has been led in the last 8 years, I am not one of them. Pete has had multiple opportunities to rebuild this team, we have sunk a ton of capital into our defense and fired coach after coach and it is still one of the worst in the league. I appreciate all Pete has done for this team, but I am ready for a new direction.

Cameron Robinson

Keep pushin positive Hawks! #Hawks4Life 💚💪🏾👊🏾💯💙

JT

Ya know, going from 6-3 to 7-8 is disappointing for sure. But after remembering the predictions of this team going into the season and watching other teams go all in for a Super Bowl run just to crash and burn, and lots of upside for this team. Still good things to look back on and forward to

Raising5kiddos

Pete Carroll should send Andy Reed a gift basket. This could have been a 30 point blowout if the Chiefs wanted to run it up. Andy chewed up the clock and kept it within reason. This was more about what they didn’t do more then that the Hawks stopped if we are being real.
