Did you not consider the Pro Football Focus stat of Tagovailoa commits the second-highest percentage of turnover-worthy plays among starting quarterbacks after holding the ball 2.5 seconds or longer at 8.2% – so if he has more time to throw, then by current stats, we should see an uptick in turnovers. Thats a turnover in ever 12th dropbacks. In addition to that stat – Tua has a very bad habbit that analysts are noticing. If his first read is covered, he’ll throw a jump ball. Also, Jones outranks Tagovailoa ninth to 22nd in PFF grade, 10th to 18th by QBR, ninth to 11th by Completion Percentage over Expected (CPOE) and 14th to 16th, according to Expected Points Added (EPA). And no, I didnt want us to draft Jones – I was never sold on Tua even from his days at Bama. Unless you can name me a successful Bama QB in the NFL, there’s a good reason to avoid big name schools when drafting for a QB. Its easy to look good when you’re surrounded by 5 star recruits but in the NFL everyone is 5 star so to speak.

You argue that Tua is a franchise QB – I argue that not only is he not a franchise QB, but he is a bust at that pick. If you wanted another Dak Prescott, then there’s no reason to waste a top 5 pick (or a top 3 the following year – remember that pick was sacrificed because they wanted to get “help” for Tua which became Waddle). Lets see, we got the owner coming out and saying “its up to the next coach to decide about Tua”, we got analysts observing that he has bad habbits when in the game and lastly, we have his stats. Oh, and he can’t play in the cold – Hawaii and Bama aren’t exactly known for their weather. So yeah, you keep getting worked up defending some millionaire player for a team that hasn’t won a playoff game in how long? Or maybe you could grow up and call a spade a spade for once. If not, you can go back and continue to nitpick my spelling since you obviously have entrenched yourself so deep in your little foxhole that you’re willing to die for your stupid belief.

Damn man you need to raise your standards towards NFL QBs this was not a good performance at all by Tua. You will look forward to 2022 season with Tua on another team while we enjoy Watson do what elite NFL QBs do on the field

@Michael Gonzalez Im not so quick to blame Ross – again, never take what the media says at face value, they’re worst than used car salesmen. Ross has tried and went out, spent money to lure the big name coaches and so forth. Now are you saying Ross must go because he kept Grier or that he needs to start living in Florida instead, then you have valid arguments as Im not a fan of Grier and I believe the owner should be around the team. But even that, is a bit harsh – its not like he’s the Bengals owner (or Lions) and hasnt invested in the team at all.
