Mac Jones is so horrible! I don’t care what anyone says Zappe is better and he has way more upside than Jones all you have to do is watch Jones he looks for the hot read only and when he is not panicking he only checks the ball down for 2 or 3 yards he takes off running when he has time to throw he takes sack after sack because he has no sense of pocket clock he tosses it up for grabs and gets picked off with stupid interceptions he has no confidence and that’s because his talent level is not very good to begin with funny when Zappe was playing Patricia would let him bombs away in 3rd or even 4th and short but With Mac they run the ball even in obvious passing situations because they don’t trust him so why is he playing??? I mean really it’s dumb with Zappe they are so much more explosive and he would get much better Jones played for Alabama and had the best skill set players, Team and coach in the country Last year McDaniels sheltered and protected Jones with a old school I formation run game giving Jones multiple tight ends and extra linemen to add pass protection Jones only had 1 or 2 receiver’s and Henry at tight end to look for easy progressions when looking to pass It gave everyone the false impression that Jones is a legitimate NFL Q.B and he clearly is not the patriots have changed to today’s conventional style offense and it’s clearly a problem for Mac he struggles to make quick decisions because he has made so many mistakes It’s a matter of time before he gets the hook and Zappe takes over I know people will disagree with me but all you have to do is watch Jones play he is content just checking it down to avoid mistakes I don’t care about experience he has no 300 yard games this year and only 1 or 2 his rookie year he is a game manager and at his very best is another Ryan Tannerhill type Q.B just not as good righ now NFL teams can not win in the post season with a good game manager like back in the 80’s and 90’s when defenses were awesome with the new age rules that protect the Q.B a great Defense today isn’t enough if your Q.B is Ryan Tannerhill just ask the Titan’s it’s silly to have Zappe on the bench just think about this they drafted Jones at 15 in 2021 they draft Zappe in 4th round in 2022 if they were sold on Jones being the future and franchise player of the patriots they would have traded up to get him and not wait until the 15th pick and hope he was still on the draft board and they would not have used a 4th round pick for another Q.B this year when they could have drafted a quality player to improve somewhere else it’s so easy to see that Belicheck wants shula’s record and he is much more likely to pass Shula then win another superbowl with Mac Jones and it may take 2 or 3 years for Zappe to get consistently good he can go about 500 every year with Jones so this is his safe play to get Shula’s record he will need 2 more seasons after this year with Jones at the helm! I think a change would be good it would be nice to have offensive and Defensive coordinators and a Head coach who doesn’t think he is bigger than the whole franchise it’s time to get a young aggressive coach and G.M.
