@Noah Kan yeah that’s true. Mostly just zimmer and Kubiak. I’m not saying that Kubiak won’t ever be good, bc he’s young and I think he has potential, but we’re a win now team.

@SamaritanElad how about Jefferson? Michael Pierce? Patrick Peterson? KJ Osborn? Kene Nwangu? this is just the start of the players he has brought in who are starting to shine on the field. He picks the players with tons of potential who actually turn into something and he steals them low in the draft too. give him some respect, y’know?

@Josiah Clarkin Seriously bro?? G kubiak picked jefferson check the tape. Pierce’s play doesn’t match the contract we’ve been getting ran through all season incase you haven’t noticed. As for KJ and rest of those guys it isn’t that hard to find skills players in the nfl. Look around the leauge there’s plenty. Rick is more of a problem than zim the talented level is decent at best

We have a solid team, just a bad coach

Not a chance in hell. He said he signed his 1 yr deal because he knew the salary cap would be going up next season. He’s going to want more than $9 mil and they aren’t going to sign an aging CB who has lost a step for even MORE money.

Even though they have absolutely terrible CB depth, I don’t know if I want him back anyway. Yeah, he covered pretty well tonight and was pretty good most of the year, but he was checked out tonight. He really didn’t want to tackle anybody. Go watch some of the plays. He avoided tackles and let others do it. That isn’t a leader. His decision to not tackle and hit tonight was purely a business decision. He didn’t want to get hurt. His tackling was on a Deion Sanders level. Harrison Smith was out there fighting like hell. So were a few others. Even though he got beat sometimes, Trae Waynes never had a problem coming up trying to make a hit on a RB. Even Xavier Rhodes was never afraid to hit.

Going into this game Peterson was telling other DBs to put good plays on tape, which means forget about winning and playing as a unit. Play as an individual and get that contract money. That’s been the problem with the Vikings all year. They’re a bunch of individuals with no leadership core that can bring everyone together as a team. That includes coaches and players. That’s why you have CBs spouting off on social media minutes after a loss, tantrums in practice, and players and coaches taking subtle shots at each other in the media. With Zimmer tonight it wasn’t subtle. He openly ripped Kubiak and Mond.

Time to blow up the team. Zimmer and Spielman both need to go. Spielman has been incompetent the past 3+ seasons. He drafts and has to cut Gladney who had red flags before the draft; drafts Dantzler who plays stupid, is immature, and has yet to play a full healthy season; signs and releases Breeland; and drafts Hughes in the 1st round and trades him 3 yrs later for basically nothing all so Boyd can get beat every play. There’s also the brilliant Ngakoue and Herndon trades for 2nd and 4th round draft picks. Spielman had no quality starting starting RG going into the season, so he drafts Davis in the 3rd round (hasn’t even dressed let alone take a snap), and then late in training camp they panic and decide to plug in a 6th round tackle as the starting RG (Udoh). Another brilliant move was drafting Surrat in the 3rd round – a converted QB with virtually no LB experience who hasn’t played starting LB all year. How about trading up in the 4th round for Samia? 4th round picks on Holmes and Jaleel Johnson?
Blown picks and wasted opportunities year after year. When Spielman was the Dolphins GM, Nick Saban later said Spielman couldn’t evaluate talent.

@Minnesota 17 They absolutely do. They have holes all over the place – OL, DL, LB, and CB. Both Zimmer and Spielman must go. They’ve had 20+ draft picks the past 2 years and virtually none of them panned out. Jefferson was who Gary Kubiak liked and Spielman simply got lucky by other teams passing on him. Even Zimmer admitted during preseason that the team didn’t have any depth. How can that be with 20+ draft picks?? They have a glaring hole at DT because they can’t stop the run, but they are in even worse shape at CB, which is supposedly Zimmer’s strength. Sadly I think this team gets even worse before they get better.

@Minnesota 17 What’s a “veto” CB? Sadly I don’t think Mond is going to be the answer. I didn’t like him in college and I think he plays like a robot. I’d like for them to draft another QB in round 1 this year, but they have so many other problems elsewhere.

Completely agree. He’s lost a step. The Vikings paid a soon to be 32 yr old CB $9 million/yr out of necessity. He was mostly average. Next season he’ll want a contract with more money and more term. I watched him tonight and he had zero interest in tackling anybody. That’s not a leader. Smith was out busting his balls all night. I didn’t see him avoiding hits like Peterson. Peterson didn’t want to get hurt because he wants more money next year.

The depth at CB is repulsive. Peterson and Alexander won’t be back. Dantzler is talented, but immature, stupid, and hurt a lot. Boyd is simply a special teamer at best. Glad we drafted and cut Gladney, signed and cut Breeland, and drafted and traded Hughes for a COVID mask. Outstanding job Spielman.

Yeah. Add in the fact that his tackling the last few weeks has been suspect, I think it’s the safe to say he won’t be a Viking next year.
