I would argue Len Dawson’s pass to
I would argue Len Dawson’s pass to Otis Taylor against the hated and despised Oakland Raiders from the end zone, in 1969. If Dawson’s pass fell incomplete, the Chiefs would have had to punt from their end zone, giving the Raiders excellent field position. Instead, Taylor catches the pass for the first down. The play puts the Chiefs in reasonable field position, on the way to a decisive touchdown; and as a result, entry into the Super Bowl. Without the pass by Dawson and reception by Taylor, the Raiders would have been the Super Bowl representative in Super Bowl IV.
On the other hand, PM15’s instinctive play against the Titan’s is probably the most significant play in Kansas City Chief history, since the Dawson to Taylor – pass and reception.
