People were saying Belichick was so great last year being 7-9 but no word about Sean Payton with 4 QB’s.

    stéphane A

@My Life Is A Lie And?

    My Life Is A Lie

@stéphane A Meaning he only has wins with his 1st and 2nd QB with a top defense backing them. It’s not that impressive and I’m a Saints fan saying this.

    stéphane A

@My Life Is A Lie Still great. It’s hard winning with thrid and fourth string QB. And Siemian basiucally won the game since Jameis was out eearly. Add that to all the injuries, no Michael Thomas. Still better thatn 7-9 Pats last year.

    @VINICIO⚜ how am i trolling

Before that TD pass by Taysom Hill, Saints kicker Brett Maher had scored 25 straight points for the Saints dating back to the Saints win over the Jets.

    the glasses riley

Tayson hill is not a QB put somebody else in.

    Miki Byrne

@the glasses riley but whooooo?? 😹

    Ian brooks from Notre dame

    JWS

@Alex Tafoya First of all, I don’t know who Tysom Hill is genius. Secondly, only the haters and unintelligent fans think Taysom Hill did not contribute. If Winston had started this game with hand and foot injuries like Taysom had and with NO offensive line he would have contributed to a LOSS! Do some research genius. With the majority of the offensive line in tact Winston lost to the lowly Panthers 26-7 and had a QB rating of 26.9!

I wish the Saints were more healthier on offense, but this is the best we have so far. Props to the defense for playing so well for so long, it honestly is stressful playing hardcore with a not so productive offense.

Will Clapp

Our defense is ranked 4th but offense ranked 31st, wow

    dave s.

Reminds me of all those years we had a top 3 offence & dead last defense. Our team is just one extended missed hi five

    Who-Is-Silver

@Cody Flesher prime drew with this defense 😳

    Trill 1

You must be talking about Panthers

    Your Typical Saints Fan

@Cody Flesher he has for the past 3-4 years. sadly they choked in the playoffs

    Bexdawg

Will clapp my guy what’s up

Rae

We have a great defense but man I miss our offense.

    Randal Barnes

Did you say Great Defense? 😆

    Paul CampTV

    @JWS 😂😂😂😂😂

    Luke

@Alex Tafoya all he has is Kamara, I don’t know what we’re expecting as Saints fans

    Judy Aquino

Not me I love watching Hill, he’s getting better each week. He’s need top WR’s and O line back.

    Kenneth Roberts

@JWS I agree but Now that Sean Left, IDK where and how we are gonna be.

Jack Ikenberry

Cam Jordan has been phenomenal the last three weeks, 7.5 sacks

    MSU Spartans

Doing all this without Michael Colston and Michael Thomas. Imagine when they come back

    Heyoni 38

Yeah he want the 250k bonus haha

    Samantha Steele

He started very very slow in the beginning of the season and I thought he was done from Father Time but he shut me up real quick dude is a absolute beast

    Jack Ikenberry

@Samantha Steele yeah exactly, he hasn’t been doing much until lately. Better late than never though

elijah mccourtney

It’s mind boggling that the saints can still make the playoffs despite their many QBs situations

    Log0ut

This shows what great coaches can do with nothing. Pats were down one year.

    saints still in the playoffs

    Both hall of fame coaches

    You Blue That One

Hill should’ve been starting over Brees

    MegaTimebomb098

what good coaching does for a team

    Nola Serv

    @Justin Jones Love him!

bruce lau

Absolutely mind boggling with how the New Orleans Saints have played this season , the loss of Drew Brees to retirement, the QBs situations , the offense , Sean Payton , finds a way to get it done , just absolutely incredible, I’d give him credit with how he has guided this team like this , the injuries , the covid situation of it all

    JAY JACKSON

@Nola Serv even before the offensive line was decimated the offense wasn’t productive. Also when healthy the saints have a top 10 line so the line isn’t the main problem. Even in 2020 with no Mike T the passing game took a huge drop. No one else can beat their man. When we lost to the Bucs last year they just sat back and played man and locked us up. Even when you go back to previous games in 2020 the line would give Brees time but he’s holding the ball too long because none of the receivers can separate and it cause him to take some big hits. The receiving core is really the weakness because of their drops and lack of separation. Also think about it this way, none of the receivers on the saints roster could start anywhere else in the league. The lack of talent turned the saints into a dink and dunk offense and an offense that runs too many screens and doesn’t have much success with them

    Nola Serv

@JAY JACKSON I couldn’t agree more with the points you have brought out. Last year, Drew couldn’t relly on his timing routes because of a well executed jamming Buc’s defense. But if I am correct, we could have been +14 points and good momentum with Cook’s reception then his careless handleing of the ball after that made him cause the fumble. Seemed like the whole turning point of the game then.

    JAY JACKSON

@Nola Serv honestly in my opinion I think it was inevitable that the saints were going to lose that game because Brees and Thomas were still banged up and Brees couldn’t do anything more to help the team win with the lack of talent. I honestly think that’s why the Brees retired when he did because he saw that the organization wasn’t going to get him the necessary help and he figured might as well go out now before he suffers another big injury. I also think that Brees not having a big arm anymore wasn’t true because if you look at the film none of the receivers were a deep threat so it only made sense to have shorter routes so it just gave off the appearance of he could no longer get it downfield

    Nola Serv

@JAY JACKSON I think along the same lines as you with the exception that I don’t think he had the arm he used to. Back when we had the SB win, we had no name receivers then but I have to agree they were much better. Yeah, I thought that even before he thought of retireing, he was going to when he did. And I’m so glad he retired a Saint AND a loyal one for that matter.

Man, are you looking at Deonte Harris. I think he is so underated. He comes back to the ball when the QB is in trouble, fast as hell and gets so much “distance” coverage respect etc. Long threat is there when possible. Has great hands. Seems to have good receiver common sense. I saw him wide open twice when Hill threw to another. For me it’s hard to think that no one wanted him because of his size and the Saints almost cut him. Look at Brandon Cooks? I think they are very similar.

    Nola Serv

@JAY JACKSON Hello Jay, I don’t know if I replied to you about this before but….I was just trying to warn everyone that depending on other teams for a playoff berth is unheard of as a fan from the 1967 start. AND not to get hiped about it. About your comment about us having a weak RX core and I think you are correct about no time and no separation BUT… I urge you to take a look at Deonte Harris. This guy has got great RX common sense. He comes back for the ball when QB is in trouble. Has great speed that his short routes are wide open in which I’ve seen the past 2 or 3 games but were overlooked by Hill. Great hands. A Louisiana home grown. To think that he was almost cut and no one else wants him because he’s too short or what ever? What about Brandon Cooks? I see the same exact player only that I think Deonte plays with an “attitude” so to speak. I like that. For me that means high expectations of themselves. Recognition is fine with me. General George Patton was all about that and look at his acompishments. I also think M.T. liked it too but he already has the mvp receiver of the year award. ANYWAY… I was so happy for this season that we at least had a 9-7 winning one with ALL of our troubles. I hope our defense can be the same next year because I think Sean Payton is a great coach who can turn players into PLAYERS!..Know what I mean. So, happy end of this season.

at DERK

I was locked into this game watching it like glue while at work. Classic saints making my heart race every season

    M M

@scout Plenty of jobs gives you the time to watch tv if the time is available. Firefighters, hotel clerks, bartenders, etc

    Philip Tucker

@scout I worked in sales at my last job and we had the game play on the TV every Sunday. Plus our manager always let us watch as long as we were hitting our sales comp for the day….it’s actually smart and great motivational material lol

    at DERK

@scout I work at a gym lol u do nothing

Daniel Touchstone

The saints defense is so good. They can keep them in the game against anybody and with both taysum and Kamara healthy they have a chance to win. Especially if they’d sprinkle in a lil more read option

    Dona Braswell

Especially if they had the starting oline in there. It’s tough to have a strong running or passing game without a solid oline.

Dontrell Poindexter

If the offense could put up 20 to 40 a game…with this defense, the Saints would be even more scarier.

    Shane Sprinkle

@WhopperJr stick with the whooper Jrs while the rest of us order from the adult menu

    SaucyX4 •

@Quinn Encalade mannnn saints piss me off

    SaucyX4 •

@Troy Thomassee Jr he literally averaged 30 points a game with no ribs. I don’t understand why defense couldn’t play better

    Troy Thomassee Jr

    @SaucyX4 • I know man crazy sht

    Troy Thomassee Jr

I think a team’s identity has a lot to do with their motivation, all these years it’s been Brees and the high octane offense, now the team is known for great defense, you know how good that has to feel to be on the defense in today’s nfl and know your the backbone of the team

noliano3

If the saints make the playoffs, Sean Payton is the coach of the year…..HANDS DOWN

    Nola Serv

More playoff hipe BS brother. I’m a real Saints fan from the Billy Kilmer days if you care to read this. Dream on this year man. If this, if that, if if…The Saints, even when they had a legitimate playoff team last year with Drew, lost to the wildcard Vikings. That was when they didn’t have to depend on this or that team winning or loosing. They were divisional winners. No dream world brother. The hipe is too contagious like covid. But covid is real. Man, I wish I’m wrong. I went through all of this my first 20 years of the Saints. Playoffs were realistic in 1987 but lost anyway in the playoffs to guess who? Vikings. They killed us. But have no worry, Payton can rebuild in an already prooven instant. Remember his first year of the coach? Instant playoffs. Remember bountygate? Rebuilding seems to be his specialty. Look for QB dramatic changes. Pay for Winston won’t happen. Most likely through free agency. I’m looking for very positive things to happen in 2022. How could it get any worse? My opinion is Payton is coach of every year.

lunchbox184

Incredible defense by the Saints and they still have a chance to make the playoffs

Mike Curtis

Love my Saints! Despite everything that has happened, they never quit and never surrendered. God Bless y’all.

Abe

Congrats to Saints organization for overcoming the departure of their franchise qb this well. The deserved this win. They played good and wise and it paid off.

    xJ0LLYR0GERx

Losing Brees was the smallest issue this year. We have had 57 different starters this year and 4 different starting QB’s due to injury and COVID. The fact we are in the hunt just shows if we still had Winston and half the injuries we suffered we would be sitting 12-4 easy.

RedT

Sean should be coach of the year imo. Saints have had 57 different starters in an NFL season which is an NFL RECORD, played 4 different QBs, played games without coaches, without a starting kicker, and played the first month on the road due to a hurricane. Yet somehow this team can still make the playoffs.

    Jacob Carson

Sean will get the credit but I think Dennis Allen is the reason the Saints are winning. His defense is superb and have held this team together as the offense is falling apart. And I know its about health and injuries but still, it’s the Saints defense that is winning games. Shut out an explosive Bucaneers team, held Brady to his first shutout since almost the beginning of his career. I remember when the Saints had to score 30 points just to win games. Now they can win with much less

    Craig Says

but they didn’t make the playoffs…. what is it that you edited about your comment? You should have deleted that part…

HoorayForTyler

This was my first Saints game in the dome, man the fans were extra loud!! And the city was electric after the game, such a sight to behold. Geaux Saints!!! ⚜️

Your Typical Saints Fan

I really loved how Taysom was playing in the second half. He wasn’t just taking off after his first or second read. He was going through his progressions, keeping his eyes down field, stepping up in the pocket, and delivering dots down the field. If he keeps playing like that and our defense continues to play elite, when we get Armstead and Marcus Williams back, we could make some sort of a playoff run.

Trey J. Mollo

6:35 hell of a play. I know Calloway has been “the guy” but Harris can be a star. Hell Winston was throwing deep shots to him before he was injured. But this was probably the best game Taysom has played at Qb. Considering the back up Oline, and receivers. He had a few moments. But ultimately you can tell he’s getting comfortable. I’m sure being off against the dolphins allowed his injuries to heal.

Angel Timoteo

No matter how the playoffs shape up I’m proud that this team managed to remain competitive despite all the set backs they faced this season I just wish we could’ve seen more of Winston
