Burns in the pro bowl
Feel bad for our defense. One of the best in the league, and literally had to carry the team because our offense and coaching staff forgot how football works.
@Alex Christopher Didnt get exposed, injuries happened. Donte Jackson and Stephon Gilmore were big pieces in our secondary, and we lost them in the second half of the season, plus the coaching and playcallin on the entire team is trash
@Mr Not Nice if our “elite defense was really elite we wouldn’t need to depend on those two players so much. I am not a hater and I think this is the best the panthers defense has been in a while but elite is a far fetched label for this unit
@Alex Christopher Thats dumb, an elite defense needs its elite players to be elite. Without those elite players a defense won’t perform as well, as they would with them. For example our defense in 2015 was considered one of the best in the league, but once we lost Josh Norman our defense turned mediocre.
@Mr Not Nice that is dumb because every team deals with injuries you are clearly one of those fans who has excuses for everything this was the number one defense for the first 5 weeks and then feel off we are now 6th I. The league which is good put to my pint this defense isn’t quite elite (every team deals with injuries so that isn’t an excuse)
@Alex Christopher I don’t have excuses for everything, if the defense doesnt show up like against the dolphins I I won’t put an excuse up. But after we lost Donte Jackson we lost our starting CB, and then when we lost Gilmore we lost our best CB our secondary looked lost. Every team deals with injuries sure, but when the injury is on star players then thats a problem. The bucs wr core isnt nearly as scary without godwin or brown (ik he didnt get injured but they never lost with him starting i believe) and the Ravens defense is non existent with marcus peters and marlon humprey out. I don’t make excuses for the team if it really sucks. Like cam newton’s return really sucked. I wont defend that.

Even though we lost a lot of games our defense is amazing. They don’t give up and that is another reason I love THE Carolina Panthers.

We must re-sign Haason. Give him his money. He’s a franchise chess piece on field, and also in locker room. We got him for a cheap, 1 year “prove it” deal, and he did more than that. Don’t let him get away Scott.

We started off so good. Having horn back will help tremendously, but we definitely have to upgrade at LB Carter was a liability all season long
Had a healthy Horn and trade back and draft Travis Jones DT from UConn in the 2nd and this D is top 5
