Hutchinson had one good year with 14 sacks look at the other 3 years he didn’t even get 5. Great pick in my opinion.
The Georgia game Hutchinson did nothing.
Jermaine Johnson could barely even get on the field at UGA. He ended up transferring to Florida State. He went 26th in the first round. It’s hard to get a lot of sacks on a great defense full of NFL players. Also, he lined up at DT over 50% of the time, and not DE like Hutchinson just to rush the QB.

wasn’t asked to rush the passer as much as hutch half the reason he didn’t produce as much on the stat sheet but he’s better against the run can drop into coverage unlike hutch, more versatile than hutch too cant convince me its a bad pick he’s the kinda player that makes the whole D-line better

Well said, boss! He was 4th (last) out of the 4 options the Jags were considering imo. Stealing Devin Lloyd late first really helps make up for it. But when your second overall pick (LB) has more sacks then you’re number one overall pick (Edge, DL) that’s a problem.
Look at the energy in the draft room when the pick was made. Looked depressing, not like a team that was all on the same page with their selection. And the fact that they went with the player Baalke reportly wanted to pick blows my mind. @Johnny C lol. Every bulldog fan even says he wasn’t told to rush the passer. He was a part-time player. All the data shows that and the film too. It’s not that he’s a bad player far from it. But you took an unknown as the number one pick. The tape doesn’t show a dominant pass rusher.
