i think we gon be even better with dorsey, his time to shine

    Paul Deck

Def agree; Daboll often fought himself, shadowboxed, he was often aggressive when he needed to be patient, threw haymakers when jabs were needed to shake things up

Ryam

Guy seems genuinely excited to experiment. I feel like our offense is gonna thrive this season

    Paul Deck

There is a growing chorus of the opinion that Daboll was holding us back. I think that became painfully apparent this past season though I’ve had the suspicion since 2021. I think Daboll is a compulsory attacker, unable to be patient and often shadowboxing

The Bills really got some experience around Dorsey this offseason; Kromer alone, I am ridiculously excited to see work cuz our O line was our offense’s problem last year and once the final group came together is when the whole unit started executing reliably, which is really the most basic description of an offense’s job i.e. the offense was dysfunctional and not doing their job until the final starting O line congealed. Sorry for that tangent – Dorsey has a lot of talent and experience around him that was brought in, and that plus Josh’s confidence in him gives me confidence that he’ll get the job done

@Paul Deck an interesting point – josh tends to be that way too, so that may have been double trouble at times. either way, i think Dorsey will bring a level of sanity and pragmatism to this offense. he will also be a sneaky little guy too 😉

    Paul Deck

@olympusvii sneaky is great when you’ve set your opponent up to be vulnerable to it by having bread & butter plays, such as the run game that Daboll never really figured out how to get going short of Josh running it. I see your point about Josh being that way too, I initially didn’t but typing my disagreement changed my mind; I do think there’s a difference, Josh just wants to win vs Daboll doesn’t know how to be anything except aggressive, but largely the same apart from that variance

Nathan James

Love it! Use what you have, accentuate the positives, eliminate the negatives and don’t mess with Mr. in-between.

Let’s go Ken! LET’S GO BUFFALO 🦬

Don Campbell

How is the audio still so bad… you can never hear the questions.

Mark Berg

Listening to this I’m even more jacked for the start of the season. Dorsey as the OC is going to take the league by surprise. Humble but hungry defend that dirt let’s go buffalo!!!

    john adams

how did you listen to this? you’re missing 1/2 of it.

    Les Moore

Remember this when the execution fails. Don’t through him order the bus.

    Les Moore

@john adams I listened to this and missed the negative “half” you seem to feel exists?

Joe Borowiec

I’ve been seeing where some of the so called experts are worried about a big drop off because Dabol is gone…I say Dorsey’s gonna be just fine and I’m just glad it’s not 2009 anymore when coach Juron fired his OC Turk Shoenart ONE WEEK B4 the season opener or when OC Greg Roman got fired 2 weeks into the season! So Relax the Offense is gonna be just fine with #17 back there 😊

    S B 1982

I felt bad for Greg Roman in that game when it was Rex’s defense that cost them the game.

    Smurkiao

And 14 on the right side ☺️we love 14

kate bobb

So excited for this season

Pro Sports Outlook

The Bills have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL! It will be exciting to see how they perform with Dorsey now as the Offensive Coordinator!

Andrew Bledsoe

The dudes answering questions honestly, fluently, and is one of, if not his first interview, and all y’all focusing on is “ya know”. I like the guy so far

    whatisabutt4? 4poopingsilly

    Cause its funny

    Andrew Bledsoe

@whatisabutt4? 4poopingsilly I’m not saying there’s not a comedic element to it all I’m talking about the people who are criticizing him. not the ones who are joking

    whatisabutt4? 4poopingsilly

Yeah. Some people are just mean

King Kellz

I’m so ready for Dorsey always thought Dabol was overrated anyway

J Barkley

Dorsey will be great. Not to rag on Daboll, but there’s a few things I didn’t like about his coaching. 1, the run game was an afterthought. Too many designed QB plays, but there was a lack of creativity in the run game, or run blocking. 2, the play calling lacked balance and at the wrong times. Threw when we should have ran, and visa versa. Why did we call three run plays in a row on that 1st offensive drive in the 2nd half of the KC playoff game this past season? The play calling in large portions of the 1st half plus early 3rd quarter was suspect. It took a long time to attack KC’s secondary. 3, We went from probably calling the jet sweeps a bit too often in 2018-2020, to almost removing them from the playbook in 2021. Daboll had a problem with balancing plays, concepts and formations. There was often too much, or not enough of x, y and z. He’s a great man overall, and has some solid coaching abilities, but there were areas where there was more to be desired.

Dorsey’s experience as a QB, plus working with and helping develop Josh for three seasons, combined with his competitive nature will pay off. I can just see it. I’m sure Dorsey saw the lack of effort towards the run game, and how that made things all the more difficult for Josh. I’m sure he will put a lot more effort and energy into figuring that part of the offense out. Having Kromer as OL coach definitely helps!!

    Roberto Cosme

Say what u want about Dabes but the whole offensive staff followed him besides Dorsey. So go rag on Hims unfair. As long as Allen is able the bills will be competitive for the foreseeable future.

john adams

microphone the QUESTIONS this is getting RIDICULOUS.

Joshua Powell

I’ve been saying for a while that Dorsey is going to prove to be the genius behind Daboll. I think he just has one of those football minds and his extended time with Josh is going to really shine when you see more no-huddle calls from Josh pushing the tempo down the field

    Roberto Cosme

pretty much the whole offensive staff besides Dorsey followed daboll so maybe a little bit of overstatement but as long as Josh Allen is a bill everything will be fine. He’s the real deal.

    Joshua Powell

@Roberto Cosme I think Daboll was the emotional leader, but I think Dorsey has the strategy. He’s already talking about being aggressive and just taking the opportunities that work. I always felt like Daboll would keep trying the same thing over and over when it wasn’t working. He only occasionally made adjustments at halftime

    Roberto Cosme

@Joshua Powell possibly. Josh Allen will make him shine none the less.

    Joshua Powell

@Roberto Cosme at the very least, I think Dorsey (being a former NFL QB) is going to give Allen more freedom in the huddle and at the line

Robert Pimpo

Hes going to tear it up with josh

Johonegg420

It would be great if we could hear the questions

Sylvia G.

As one communications professional to another–please take care of the long-time problem of not being able to hear question at these pressers. Thanks in advance for addressing this chronic problem. Go Bills!

Michael R. Larson

While at the University of Miami, Dorsey was known as a consummate winner, leading the Hurricanes to the 2001 national championship and posting a record of 38–2 as the team’s starting quarterback

Stephen Printup

Josh’s transformation from sugar high Josh Allen into “take it all on myself” Josh Allen, I don’t think is his final form.

Vince Calabrese

Utah Ken is gonna have to put a twist on it especially now dable has head coaching job, he got bills number!!!!
Billsforlife!!!!!!!!!!

Randall Marsh 1979

It’s so crazy watching the bills win three games and 13 losses well this guy is winning national championships but you know he wasn’t going to be an NFL quarterback probably a great coach and now it’s just time see what happened
