OC Mike LaFleur Press Conference | New York Jets | NFL – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE

That what Zach should of said “it starts with me and ends with me”

    KanbaruSan

Mike says that every press conference tho and never changes anything afterwards.. Empty words

    Corey Hansen

@KanbaruSan He is honestly one of the worst OCs in the game. Man ran two shotgun throwing play in his own endzone during the same possession last week.

    Jet Focus

    @Corey Hansen 100%

    Darnell E

    Zack is brutal under center

    Tom Brown

it starts and ends with the head coach, he calls the shots, if he is not in control he needs to be fired.

John Gunning

It’s year two for you Mike. Zach aside, the offense still falls on you. Look at the difference in the defense from last season to this one. They’ve gone from worst to a top 10 defense. What will you do to at least improve your unit these last 7 games with the playoffs on the line?

    John Gunning

I get Zach’s struggles. But again it still falls on Lafleur. Let’s see what happens the last 7 games. The defense has only allowed 13 1/2 points per game the last 6 games. If the offense can produce just 20 points they should be in position to win more than they lose down the stretch. If they do that they will make the playoffs. It’s up to Mike Lafleur to get it done the rest of the year.

    TripleC3

@John Gunning Unlike the offense, the defense has not lost its two best players and 4+ starters on the line. The defense has much more talent than the offense. Lafleur needs to make better decisions on 3rd down and short yardage situations, but all game long we have receivers and tight ends open down the field who are not getting hit. In these last 2 years, Lafleur has bailed Zach out multiple times. Zach has never once bailed out Lafleur. That said you are correct, it is up to Lafleur to help White lead this offense to wins.

    Timothy Garrett

The worst coaches are the one who say this is my system adjust to it that is our OC instead he should a just the system to the players he does not do that at a adaquit leval

    Sjax

Lafluer has to call pass plays that get the ball out quickly . They run so many go routes on the outside which takes to long to develop and there isnt enough time. I’m not saying it’s all on him because Zach did miss open receivers. When you watch the last patriots game the corners were 10yards off the ball and back peddling at the snap. Where’s the quick outs, slants, and quick hitches. He needs to adjust in game.

    Acetag 31

@TripleC3 excuses if you ask me. Lafleur needs to make adjustments which he fails to do. He’s a hack

Jon Umber

How’s Rob Calabrese escaping criticism here? Zach’s regressed since Calabrese came on board, and there’s only so much LaFleur can do.

DKBxJets

The offensive side was always going to struggle unless LaFleur turned out to be savant right away. I’m still with you coach ✈

Nick G

When the pass game isn’t working and your defense is playing lights out.. do your team a favor.. line up in 3 TEs and run the damn ball

Prime Sports Network

Thanks for taking the lead on this Mike. Zach has pointed the finger at himself plenty of times already and it’s good to see you not only have his back, but you do understand you are a key reason why the offense has struggled with him under center. That’s not to say your offense can’t look better with a more experienced QB like Mike starting and I fully expect a huge jump against a poor defense on Sunday, but you have to be a better tutor for Zach’s sake and the franchise. Good luck on Sunday!

    Jerry Martinez

Little to late now! ZW should ask to be released this has become a toxic work environment. I have suspicions he is getting bullied by the Fan Base and Teamates! Lines have been crossed! No more for ZW

JT 99

Oline decimated – that hurts run. Lost 3 best players, AVT, Hall and Davis on the Offence MLF can call better plays, but have to have a QB be able to hit 5 yard routes without pressure. That’s on Zach, the rest is situational circumstance. Jets have bright future.

    Derek Savastano

    Beckton too

rochelle moore

As soon as the running game stalled with Breece’s injury, the OC and Zach were exposed.

    Darnell E

Lets see if white can just be competent

    MikeyBoomB0tz

Maybe zach but not the OC because against buffalo he ran the ball very efficiently and we all knew that this scheme is based off of run heavy offense and when it comes to passing its all timing based routes and if your qb cant do that its going to be very tough to get going

Chrono Kenny

ROB CALABRESE HAS BLAME. QB coach is in charge of fundamentals and footwork and thats Zach’s biggest problems. WTF were we thinking hiring a guy with 0 and I mean 0 experience doing this???? Wasted our second overall pick bc of him and Douglas should step in and fix this NOW.

    Hawk

I mean I couldn’t have said it better. Can we get an actual QB coach in here or is that going to reveal too many flaws in Mikey LaFleur’s system? I wonder. Kurt Warner said he would be Zach’s QB coach… if it’s really “Team First” then Mike LaFluer’s ego needs to step aside and Robert Saleh needs to be coach first and Mike’s brother’s best friend like 8th on the fuggin list.

Trey Mullins

Phins fan here, but I come in peace!✌ just wondering, has he always breathed like that?

    Jimmy P

    Always

Ken Masonj

The Jets Offensive Coordinator and Jets QB coach,

are the ones that Jets fans should be BLAMING,

for how BAD, Zach Wilson has been playing !

Alex Murphy

Even the beginning of that colts gams mike looked electric

Cruzing RSX

The Jets should move on from this bogus OC!

mars2b

By the way Mike LaFleur is measuring his words this seems to have been a Robert Saleh, Joe Douglas decision. And I fully support it

Brian Jasnica

Watching this feels like deja vu of what happened a couple years ago with the Bears and Trubisky. Hopefully you guys get a better answer of what went wrong in the draft process than we did. What sucks for the Jets is that they literally saw what happened to the Bears when they took a one-year-wonder guy and ignored the red flags. When that 2021 draft happened I wanted the Bears to have nothing to do with Wilson because it was the same thing with Trubisky where he looked great against weaker opponents and looked mediocre at best against better competition.

Pete

I feel like two seconds before he took the stage Mike turned to Zac just out of view from the media and said “watch and learn.” Than proceeded to fit in as many “It starts and ends with me’s” as much as humanly possible. 😅

    Hawk

Yea funny thing is, the way HE takes responsibility is to bench Zach like its all his fault… way to really OWN UP! lol

ikashibimauler

I wonder what team Zach will start for next?

Paul Lucas

Great job Lafleur that’s leadership.

Ralph Malph

Scoring points been a problem for the Jets last two seasons. I wonder if Lafleur is capable….

Edward Fleck

Impressed with Mike taking responsibility and saying it all begins with him doing a better job coaching. Jets are fortunate to have him. He will do what’s necessary to fix the offense.

    Hawk

Saying “I take responsibility” is not the same as taking responsibility… The way HE takes responsibility is to bench Zach like its all his fault?? Weird way to really OWN IT! lol
