Bears didn’t have much of a running game. Colts defense was covering down field big time too. Would you rather him try to force it and throw a bunch of picks?
people are panicking about Nagy and foles when we should be panicking about our O line. 28 total rushing yards. When you run the ball on 1st and 10 or 2nd and 8 and get NO YARDS it’s puts u in a negative game script and an obvious passing situation. The colts defense did exactly what our defensive squad in 2018 was doing across the league. STUFFING the run on 1st and 2nd downs and making them pass in obvious passing downs. You can then play a nickel getting extra db’s against the pass, and what did we do well as well in 2018?? We were able to rush and get to the passer with only 3 or 4 down lineman. That’s exactly what happen to us this game. That all starts on the line and run game. Our o-line got handled from the first play of the game till the last play of the game. If we have a run game consistently we will have a consistent offense. Idc what anyone says watch actual tape of the game and you’ll see why Nagy nor foles really is too blame for this game. Although Nagy’s gotta be more aggressive earlier on in the game imo

Marcos Dominguez watch tape of the game. Our offensive line just played absolutely horrendous !! Missed blocks/ assignments that could’ve been a good run gain. You don’t run outside against a defense that plays that fast sideline to sideline it wouldn’t have mattered. Every single person on our line had a terrible game. If you watch tape nagy’s isn’t a bad play caller, it’s in the execution of this team with the offensive line and until foles was trubisky’s issue as well with missing open receivers. Tape don’t lie
When your yards per rush starts with a 1 you are going to lose and get no where close to 20 points all the time. Maybe Mitch is a better solution for a few series with run option plays when your run game is so bad. The Colts defense is the best in the league so you should evaluate your what happened, come up with options if it happen again, but otherwise don’t go crazy because the best defense shut down a bottom half rushing offense. There penalty yards was 3 times their rushing yards, and you count the waisted downs rushing and the results are actually respectable, they would have been better, if they knew this, passing 90% of the time.
I didn’t know the Colts defense was #1 in the league. Bad game plan by coach Nagy.

For about 5 years it was back and forth with who the STARTING QB was. If you saw the D they had, any QB coulda ran with that squad. But da Bears couldn’t even stick with a STARTING QB. They had some other third STARTING QB during that era to but I can’t remember his name. Maybe you can look it up for me.

BEARS REDZONE I agree that we can’t blame everything on them, but the fact remains that Leno has been consistently performing at a sub-parr level. In 2019, there were several sacks and tackles for a loss that only happened because Leno fell flat on his face or missed his block. The fact is, Leno is a week point, and while there are many other issues on this offense, it doesn’t help to have a low performing player on an element of the team that is as critical to the offense as tackle.

Nagy thought mitch was the problem, so he replaced mitch with nick and used the same playbook. Well it seems to me it’s defiantly the play calling and nothing to do with the quarterback position
