NFL reviewing Suh’s hit on Browns’ Weeden

The NFL is looking into another Ndamukong Suh hit on a quarterback.

In a video on showing the behind the scenes process of how the league looks at potential fines, one of the plays mentioned by vice president of officiating Dean Blandino is a hit by Suh on Cleveland quarterback Brandon Weeden this past Sunday.

Suh is subject to a potential fine, but a suspension won’t be considered, a league source told ESPN’s Ed Werder.

The league looking into the play was first reported by Pro Football Talk.

“No. 90 hit the quarterback, lowered his head, that was not called,” Blandino said in the video. “Potential helmet to the body.”

Suh, who was fined $100,000 earlier this season for a low block on Minnesota center John Sullivan, was not flagged on the play.

Suh has been fined previously in his career for hits on quarterbacks Jake Delhomme, Jay Cutler, Matt Schaub and Cincinnati’s Andy Dalton, who the Lions face Sunday.

Information from ESPN’s Ed Werder was used in this report.
