We’ve had diseases and viruses forever. Many much more deadly than COVID. COVID is just the first virus the government has used as an excuse to implement draconian law.
That Guy 313 COVID is new and there is no treatment for it. It spreads easier and faster than most viruses. That’s why there are so many precautions.

you’re both right to some extent, the COVID family, commonly known as the common cold, has been around for a while. The 2019 iteration of the virus is particularly dangerous, due to its fast attacking nature, and the fact that it is a member of the COVID family, which makes it very hard to find a vaccine for. Also, right now, the government is taking extra precautions in order to protect us, but if these precautions become too intense and last *way* longer than they should, then we might have another P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act on our hands.
