That and the draft has replisnished a 7-8 year talent drought.
Nfl normally had 12 Aaron donnalds , cam heywards. They are adjusting to rules reversed to help mobile qb.
Draft has given teams Jeff Simmons , mikah Parsons and even power backs are going back up where it used to be.

@Nonya Bizz some of the top scoring offenses have mobile qbs, chiefs, buffalo, Seattle,chargers,Philly, Baltimore, Atlanta all have mobile qbs, even the raiders with Carr and Cleveland with brissett, all are mobile qbs who uses there legs to create extra time, and all those teams are in the top 10, Detroit is the only team in the top 10 in scoring, mobile qbs are necessary, in this era where front 7’s are the biggest and most athletic it’s ever been in the history of the game, u gotta have a QB that can extend plays, the statue days of Brady Peyton, Eli,etc etc are over
@Nonya Bizz I fell for it 30 plus years ago but I’ve since learned just how historically defined this inferior style of play has been. Its all been done before. This generation is no more or less than any other.

The defenses always catch up to the offense,then they institute some rule to over help the offense.

Personally like a balanced game the MNF game ft. Rams vs Chiefs which brought on the new off game was dumb. I want to watch competent defenses face the new wave of qbs were all excited about.
Defense is learning to contain the offense. I know some people may consider low scoring games boring but I think an outstanding defensive performance is still entertaining football.
Tons of dropped passes and inaccurate qbs has nothing to fo with defense.
No you all need to take off the espn glasses ,its been so long since you’ve seen good defense most can’t recognize it. They see good players making good qb look bad.
The defensive tackles was so few and weak the last decade that the draft finally added studs like Jeffrey Simmons , mickah Parsons ,Jordan Davis , hutch , trevon walker every year its a few big bad men added putting the normal #s back in the mix.
Defenses just balancing everything back out. These type of games where normal really until Pat started lighting it up
Defense will always win in the long run, offense changed the past few years and defense had to adjust. We won’t see the huge scoring games always it’s just going back to normal really.
Maybe denver will “eventually start winning” but the defense is top 5

There’s loads of fans who love good defense and have been sick and tired of the past decade of 30+ point shootouts and wide open receivers and babying the QB. I like when QBs get hurt, it adds to chaos and drama. I like when 2 defenses make 2 elite QBs look like college freshmen. I miss when every QB threw 10+ picks a season.
Unfortunately, the no fun league will find a way to ruin this by turning all tackles into unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. Corners will be mandated to give receivers a minimum of a 3 yard radius of space or they’ll be ejected from the game. Sacking a QB, for example DeShaun Watson, will lead to a mandatory 12 game suspension…

I’m not going to say defenses haven’t progressed but I will say some of the top teams lost a lot of offensive firepower
I am a hhhhuggge fan of close defense heavy games. Keep it up DCs of the NFL.
