@Ceez B Thing is they have to play at Sofi for 20 years so they’ll be there until 2040. But new ownership should be on standby depending on the outcome of this season and/or the 2023 season as well

Spanos and A.J. Smith robbed the Chargers of a SB and here’s why: as a diehard fan for 30 years, the only time I truly believed the Chargers could win a SB was the 2006 season. I didn’t even think they would get to the SB in the 2007 season despite making it to the AFC Championship mainly because they had no chance against an undefeated NE with Rivers and LT hurt. But the BIGGEST reason was having Norv Turner. Hiring Norv Turner wasted years of prime LT, Gates, Rivers, Merriman, an entire pro bowl O-line, and bunch of other talented Chargers that would have made at least two SBs if they had someone similar to a Tomlin, Harbaugh type head coach. Would you run through a brick wall for Norv? LT even said it post retirement that he didn’t really buy into Norv. Furthermore, there’s no way Norv or McCoy was going to out-coach playoff powerhouses like NE, PIT, etc. during those years. AJ fired Marty because of ego and Spanos let it happen. But then again, things happen for a reason. If we didn’t lose all those games, we wouldn’t have been in draft position to get guys like Bosa, Derwin, and Herbert. So now, I firmly believe we finally have our HC and QB combination that will take us there! Bolt Up. ⚡️⚡️
Keep in mind the year we lost to NE is one of the first years that NE got caught in spy gate and was warned privately about it. So tbh we actually got beat by cheaters.
Two years later it became public because NE did it again and got caught three times so the league couldn’t contain the leak.
Chargers would’ve beat NE if it wasn’t for the cheating. In spite of our injuries to LT & Rivers.
@Ceez B cheating or no cheating, Norv wasn’t the man to get past coaches like Bill, Tomlin, etc. And you can’t say “Chargers would’ve beat NE…” We don’t know that.
