NFL Films Seahawks Season Review: 2012
A young quarterback from the University of Wisconsin-Madison emerged in the Seattle Seahawks' 2012 season, winning the starting QB job as a rookie– his name was Russell Wilson. Wilson was drafted in the third round of the 2012 draft, following two other notable Seahawks players, linebacker Bobby Wagner and defensive end Bruce Irvin. Head coach Pete Carroll, having coached the team for only two seasons prior, took the team to the Divisional Round of the playoffs in which they lost to the Atlanta Falcons by a close score of 30-28.
The Seahawks finished the season 11-5, an improvement from a 7-9 record in 2011, and it marked Seattle's first winning season since 2007. Their 11 victories were the third-best in franchise history.
This recap video, produced by NFL Films at the conclusion of the season, features all of the big plays and moments from throughout the year.
