NFL Draft Rumor Lie Detector | Rotoworld Football Podcast

Csbew

I think the falcons could be trading up for Jordan love which would be interested and would imo be worth a trade up

    Dre TruStatement

Not even close why would we do that?

Honest Abe Targaryen

Here’s a trade rumor OJ Howard for Trent Williams

James Snee

This is exactly how Quarterbacks get over valued in the Draft. The Chargers Have to take a QB with the 6th pick? What if the teams decided that only one of these guys is even close to being a top ten pick? All the factors cited here about the Chargers show they can take a QB in the later rounds and develop him.

    Paul Keßler

James Snee exactly. If they dont get the qb, they want in the 1st round, just get your LT for the next 10 years. Get Hurtz in the 2nd round and let him sit and develope behind taylor, who is the perfect qb for this.

I like Tua more than Herbert. However, everyone acts like Tua is a perfect player. In his four most important STARTS, Tua is 2-2 and was average or below average in three of those four games. Why doesn’t this ever get mentioned? Those games are: 2019 vs. LSU; 2018 vs. Georgia, Oklahoma and Clemson.

    Landon Grissom

Go take another look at his stats against Oklahoma

    askepticsview

@Landon Grissom go take another look at my comment. I said three out of four. Oklahoma was the exception..

    C N

What was his record in all of his other starts?

    Eddie Wright

    Winning all the time LOL

Erik S.uperPatriot

I think the Patriots could benefit at being at #23. Teams like the Colts, Packers & Saints could be interested in Jordan Love & the Patriots need to fill a lot of holes.

DJ Holman

Scenario you’re forgetting…Chargers are actually interested in Cam Newton, and waiting for the Covid-19 to clear up. They are hyping up Tyrod so no one swoops and takes him.

    Ryan Edwards

DJ Holman Carolina fan here but also a cam fan. I would love to see him end up with chargers. (Last qb, Phillip rivers, also a nc state guy).

    DJ Holman

    @Ryan Edwards Same here!

Ryan Edwards

Unless Simmons falls, Derrick brown going to panthers at 7

    DJ Holman

The worst narrative out there is doubting Derrick Brown’s “pass rushing juice” and saying he’s “not athletic” He’s a huge dude. His numbers are very impressive for his size and he plays faster on tape. Sure, he may not get double digit sack numbers, but he will consistently collapse the pocket inside, allowing guys like Brian Burns to have easy sacks when the QB can’t step up. Plus he’s getting better at his moves too. Watch the Bama film and he does a crucial spin move to disrupt the play at a clutch moment…non athletic players do not do that.

Yeah last 24 hrs Justin Herbert has fallen to late 1st early second on mock drafts. Lol that’s just a small example of how fast things can swing on a rumor. Idk what was said to drop him but I’m site it was one random rumor or coach that had something negative to say.

Dadson worldwide

I’d say that the team over achieved when they had the Superbowl run. Its more about what other teams have done since then more than what atl has or hasn’t done. Its been some great drafts the last few years. Like last year multiple 2nd wr like aj brown and dk Metcalf give teams equalizer to julio and co. The nick bosas and Donalds on dl etc. Going back even Chris Jones and mahomes to clowny. Just bee some great young additions since that Superbowl that atl has missed out on.

Joseph Murdock

Tua is glass… Why would the phins need to move if they want a QB with a ton of injury history he’ll fall to them… Win win, eh?
Dolphins get a broken QB and the QB gets a ton of money being broken.

    C N

Broken QB? Don’t quit your day job!

    Joseph Murdock

    @C N
Are you new to football… The kid had reconstruction surgery to his hip.. Both ankles.. Shoulder and prolly a few other things only him and his doc knows about.. So, yeah I’d say broken and the only reason he’s being sought after so hard is the NFL is QB hungry league… Good luck Miami.. I say he’ll be lucky to finish out his rookie contract.

Science Talk TV

There arent enough defensive tackles for everybody to build the trenches!

David Palmer

Id send a 5th or so for Fournette.

As to the Lions, taking Derrick Brown top 10 would be a disaster in my opinion. Even if you move back to 6 you can probably still get Okudah or Simmons.

Id also argue the Lions defensive looks to have improved. You have changed out Jarrad Davis at ILB for Jamie COllins, a clear upgrade. At safety you have Duron Harmon over rookie Will Harris, a massive upgrade. Then Ashawn Robinson and Snacks were terrible on the inside and so Danny Shelton and Nick Harris have a very low bar to clear to be an upgrade. Trufant over Slay might be a slight downgrade but we were not getting a committed, full effort Slay. Slay said he had no respect for Patricia and Snacks said he didnt want to be there, those two guys were the 2 highest paid defensive players. The disharmony that must have caused in the locker room is significant

erick smith

Listening to these cats.. shows me they know little about playing football or grading players…
