People are so sleep on the jags it’s hilarious 😂 main thing jags were missing was a QB, we got that, got a great back to have a Chubb/Hunt type dip and we now have 3 great receivers, we improved our D a ton in FA , gonna draft at least 1 defensive player day two if not 2, overall young core, potentially great coach , but it’s all good I don’t want no bandwagonners

@daniel bui That is true my good friend is a Bear’s fan and I love to tell him how terrible his team is. Last year at least their defense was solid this off season has brought up many red flags of what the Bears defense might be this year.

@Chuka Nweze I don’t even agree with that statement and not in an arguementive you had a bad take kind of way. Your take was actually a good reasonable take. However well built, well ran teams with people like Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson at QB have won super bowls. The QB away excuse is just that an excuse. If a team can win a super bowl with Trent F’ing Dilfer and Brad F’ing Johnson if you are a great coach who is a great team builder you can win a super bowl with any QB. It will be very hard, and it will be rare not achievable regularly but, definitely possible.

Ok captain obvious. You are not doing your homework though on the Jets. They have really good infrastructure now with the front office and coaching staff. On the rise.

Fields and Wilson went to franchises that don’t produce or develop QBs………look at the 40 years. Jags will have a revolving door at the Head Coaching position, and 49ers didn’t show the patients or respect for their recent QB and now they drafted Jordan Love the 2nd…..goodluck with that. Patriots drafted QB for the next 10 years easily the best pick.

There defense is worse than cowboys

We took the best player available and this next season all we need is a DECENT defense with better coaching and we should be fine.

We’ve had a pathetic defense for 15+ years and need to build it so that in 4-5 years when we eventually have DO have a new QB – they actually have a respectable defense to work with along with our offensive weapons.

To think that over the last 3 years they have had 6 first round picks, the Raiders have not got much at all from them, and have overlooked a lot of quality more highly rated players on the way to drafting players 20-50 picks early

@Liam JG Well to find the source of their problems all you have to do is look at the facts. Which in the modern day and age is like speaking ancient Greek little understood in modern times. The only success Jon Gruden ever had was with a super bowl ready team Tony Dungy built. They won that super bowl with a top 5 defense their offense was terrible that year I mean Brad F’ing Johnson was the winning QB of that super bowl. On top of that great defense that Tony Dungy built the most insanely lucky thing to ever happen to a coach happened to Gruden that year. He played the Raiders, who with an interm head coach who used to be Grudens offensive coordinator never changed the offense, checks, or calls of Grudens offense. Gruden played scout team QB in prep for that super bowl and basically told the defense every audible, check, play, etc that the Raiders used in that game. Other then this one year Gruden has had virtually 0 NFL success and his reputation is built off of Tony Dungys hard work, blood, sweat, and tears. His offensive ranking each year he’s been a head coach have been average at best and terrible at worst. Mike Mayock was a very popular t.v. personality. He had a pipeline into every teams draft room, scouts, evaluations, and any other player/draft info he ever needed. He didn’t sit there grinding tape on prospects all day and become some 6th sense having draft analyst who 90% of the time knew which player every team was taking in which spot. He’s admitted in interviews that coaches and GM’s would often tell him who they were picking. They just asked Mayock to not make it public until that team was on the clock. Teams would give him their sleeper/hidden gem prospects and he would go on t.v. and pound the table for those players. He was never a master talent evaluator. This notion that many average fans and the casual football observer has that Gruden is an offensive genius and a great coach and that Mayock is an all knowing, savant talent evaluator is absurd, These 2 guys aren’t going to build the Raiders a winning franchise and culture. Gruden is never going to get a another coaching job if/when this stint fails and Mike Mayock will be sitting at the draft desk discussing prospects on t.v. long before that.

I didn’t know that about Mayock, but I do know that Gruden is overrated.

@Gabriel He watches some tape i don’t want to make it sound like he watches 0 tape . However he isn’t the guy people think he is from watching him on NFL network however.

I have a whole paper I wrote in this comment section detailing very throughly why the Raiders are terrible and can’t draft well.

I’m not qualified to say who’s a reach, but my opinion is the Raiders picked Leatherwood because there’s a greater chance finding a good pass rusher and DB in the later rounds than a O-Lineman of Leatherwood’s caliber. Mayock said he fits the downhill run scheme that Cable will be coaching.

Considering there GM is Mayock, former draft king analyst.
