Never forget that offensive line. 2003 Chiefs team is still one of my all time favorites

UpshotMusicTV

He was and still is my favorite player. I’ll always remember being his “fan of the week” on his website back when I was 6 years old, I’m 24 now. Absolute legend and possibly most underrated player of all time!

wampus cat

Im glad someone made this video. When Priest was an active player it was hard not to put him in the GOAT conversation… Amazing how he drifted from the minds of sports fans after he retired.

    Jonah Schniepp

If you watch football long enough, you see it over and over with running backs.

Make no mistake.. he was the most dominant player in the game for 3 years.

    Greg Godfrey

never left my memory.. dude was special

wampus cat

I remember his teammates calling him the Michael Jordan of football. He was amazing.

myriadcorp

I miss Holmes. He was amazing.

aragorn7233

I was crushed when he got injured. He was my favorite player during his time at KC.

Frankie Gumdrops

Pay attention to number 10 getting down field and throwing blocks for the Priest. That’s QB Trent Green who spent years leaving everything on the field for the Chiefs. Man’s a KC legend and a true old school QB.

    Alex James

I love that early 2000s chiefs! That’s when I became a fan as a kid, so I’m bias lol. Trent Green, Priest, Willie Roaf, Will Shields, Tony Richardson.. man, time flies

    Chris M

And Will Shields! He was _almost_ keeping up with Priest throwing blocks for at least 20 yards!

    Pierre Darnell

Absolutely right. He will forever be a Chiefs legend.

    Pierre Darnell

@Alex James Lol you forgot TG88, bro!!!

Robert Foote

Priest should be given Hof consideration. He would’ve been in there if it wasn’t for Herm Edwards ruining the Chiefs. My fav Chief of all time.

    Jonah Schniepp

Priest suffered his neck injury in 2005 before herm was there. Herm had no impact on his career.

But yes, herm was a trainwreck.

simul justus et peccator

That 3 year stretch he had was amazing. Didn’t hurt to play behind one of the best Olines ever either. But Priest was Magic. Chiefs have acuatlly had pretty good Rbs always.

    Jonah Schniepp

Except now. I’m not high on any of their backs. CEH has been a massive disappointment for me.

But yeah, they went from priest, to Larry Johnson, to Jamaal Charles, to Kareem hunt. Pretty great stretch.

    Greg Godfrey

that is until coach reid came to town. we have a crazy great team, but we arent running focused like back then. CEH is fantastic for us, he does so many different things well (Brian Westbrook style) Gore is the closest thing to a pure runner that we have on the roster.. it sure would be sweet to see someone like Mr. Holmes in the backfield again

    Jonah Schniepp

@Greg Godfrey I find CEH very meh. He has not lived up to expectations when healthy, and health has been a big issue.

Honestly if not for his draft status I doubt he’d be starting.

And… no… it didnt change when reid came to town. Charles and Kareem were OUTSTANDING in his offense. It changed cos our running backs aren’t as good.

Priest Holmes had the best 3.5 year run of any RB in the NFL. The statistics back it up and the path to write the story is equally amazing. PRIEST HOLMES SHOULD HAVE HIS BUST IN CANTON OHIO. The end!

    Keith Zimmerman

Facts. People here would stay resoundingly “DON’T GET HIM STARTED ON PRIEST HOLMES”. However, that O-line could be inducted into the hall of fame as “The Line” .

    Chris M

@Keith Zimmerman Yep. Only other Oline that could be rated better, was blocking for Emmitt Smith.

    Sheena Caldwell

There needs to be a petition to get him in the HOF!!

Solid Shepard

mike maslowski…now thats a name ive not heard in a long time…such a great linebacker. had his career not been cut short he could have been one of the best. that d was never the same after losing him.

JDK K

Really awesome documentary!!!Priest was great and deserves the HOF.. Also Chiefs fB Tony Richardson. One of the best full backs in NFL history

Micheal McConnell

Clyde… Darrell… Gore… Need To See This Video!!! Especially Since Priest Is Back Beating The Drum For The LVI Playoff Run!!!

Matt Gorski

No one in Kansas city forgot about father holmes! He’s still my favorite rb ever. It’s also crazy to hear and think mitch holthus is still commentating for kc! Imagine the chiefs today with holmes.

    drake aamold

    God bless

    Golden Age of Dinosaurs

Holmes or Jamaal. It wouldn’t even be fair.

    jdwyer305

@Golden Age of Dinosaurs holmes is my all time favorite but this team would be stupidddddd with Jamaal Charles lol you’d literally get torched on every play because there’s no way to cover everyone, and everyone has blazing speed, Charles is number 2 behind Holmes for all time favorite chiefs for me

D.Jay Holmes

My favorite RB of all time! Jamal Charles is right there too but Holmes threeone BEAST

Donnell Dawson

The GOAT

the best RB in chiefs franchise history. He needs to be in the hall of fame for sure.

Samniss Arandeen

It’s fairly obvious that there’s a Hall of Fame case to be made for the Priest. An *arguable* one, but it can be made.

Also, Vermeil got his Hall of Fame nod from the Coaches and Contributors Committee and is a finalist this year. I hope he makes it.

Rasta Coffman

That was awesome I grew up with priest he will always have a place in my heart and will always be apart of the #chiefskingdom!!!!!!!!

Vic Rider

A total gentleman. I can’t imagine a better person to be the face of football than Mr Holmes. We will never forget his outstanding performances.

The One 17

He is the reason I am a lifelong chiefs fan. (And Tony) we’re blessed to be where we are today but THIS IS WHERE WE CAME FROM!!
