Right. To add to the point. If the defense shows up Mariota wouldn’t feel the need to take a risk in a game the offense scored 25 points in. First three games with 25 plus points. All should have been w’s. I don’t see how it’s Mariota’ s fault. Why don’t we call out the defense?

@Fidel Ella it’s because the beat and fan writers fed them a load of negativity all off-season. Mariota is performing as a top 15 QB despite and would be top 10 if he cleans up the fumbles. As he notches more wins, hopefully the internet memers and Russian bots will realize they have a good QB at the helm.

MM was a starter for years and took a 2-14 Titans to the 2017 playoff. He had accumulated a lot of injuries. In 2018, MM dealt with a slew of injuries , but none more serious than the nerve issue. It was so serious that MM faced the possibility of permanent damage to his arm, which forced him to miss a do-or-die Week 17 game against the Colts. He had a stinger in his throwing arm for pretty much the entire season but still led the Titans to a winning record and one game away from the playoff. He needed the 2 years with Raiders for his body and his mind to heal…

@Ken Chan thanks I did not know the history of his injuries. Hope he can stay healthy and limit turnovers. I also heard his biggest drawback was that he was not accurate but he look pretty dang accurate aside from a few miscues. The balance of the offense is exciting!

Majority of Falcon fans are fair weather fans that only show up when they win. Honestly tho can’t really blame them after years and years of failure and blown leads.

Appreciate what the falcons have done in the past.. however. We are living in the now. All of us want to watch a good football on sundays and have our team in a hunt for a win every week. I believe this team will gel and start being a consistent threat for opposing teams every week. I know I want mariota to be consistent and not make stupid bone headed plays and turn the ball over in critical situations. I believe he will get it together. The o line gotta get better too.. and the defense needs to be more aggressive in the secondary… just relax fellow fans. We gonna be sitting pretty well at the end of the season with a record way better than most expected..

@Fire lab studio Productions Marcus needs to get what together? You sound like you don’t even watch football on Sundays. I believe you just watch a bunch of YouTubers complain about thing they heard from other media outlets. Marcus played a hell of a game this pass Sunday and in the previous two games.

Marcus was run for his life in Tennessee with no coaches, no online, no defense, and no receivers. Derrick Henry wasn’t King Henry yet either. Just know that y’all got a hell of a QB. Titans know that now. I always knew it. Now everybody see it with the Falcons. Y’all fan base is terrible. I really thought we was the worst in the entire league until I started watch the Falcons. @Michael C I’m a die hard Titans. We were worst then the Browns for about five years or maybe more, so I’ve seen my share of failures and blown leads, but that doesn’t give the ok to be a terrible fan base. My Titans fan base is extremely terrible. I always thought it was because Titans fans are new because we moved to Tennessee from Houston, TX as the Oilers but no we are just a horrible fan base. Falcons are worst than we are, and that’s crazy.

he missed a few throws, but i watched a full bills games expecting josh allen to be perfect… and even he missed a few throws. i think marcus could look more confident out there, but he’s given this team a chance in every game so far (falcons are a top 10 scoring team through 3 games)

Stop it with the caparison Matt Ryan is a better accurate passer. Their two different quarterbacks. Mariota is operating with seemingly a much improved offensive line with the threat of him running the ball. That in itself can stymie defensive ends.
