@Top Beatz Arnette has a bad attitude he needs to shape up and focus on playing his game with better coverage recognition he blew some coverages last year but Gunther was a moron defensive coordinator that should only coach high school however; would not mind seeing him in the slot heck have Amik vs Hobbs vs Arnette for the slot.
Arnette sucks. And amik and hobbs are virtually the same size … amik is way better

I think it’s unfair to judge last year’s draft class based on last season. They got drafted at the beginning of the pandemic when it looked like it might be the end of the world. No OTAs, no training camp, no preseason games, no chance to train at facilities and get coached up, game weeks with no practice, etc. Perhaps distracted by very reasonable and legitimate fears of dying themselves or losing close family members to Covid. We don’t know what they were going through psychologically. Main focus last year was complying with coronavirus protocols as much as football. Games with no fans to encourage and fire them up. Add to that the typical injuries all NFL players get from time to time. These rookies got screwed through no fault of their own.
Basically the rookies were just thrown out there trying to do their best in Guenther’s crappy scheme under the circumstances. Even if Arnette and others didn’t play well according to the click-bait media, he never looked to me as stupid, lazy, or lacking the required skills to play in the NFL. All these rookies, this year and last, deserve a fair chance given that we’re living through one of the worst pandemics in history.

With Lawson suspended, Hobbs has a good shot making the 53 to start the season. Hopefully he’ll stick. We definitely have questions at slot CB so hoping Amik and Nate can step up.

@Galaxia X if you knew that, then why reference players that had nothing to do with Gruden and Mayock?
They were relics of a previous front office. Gruden was looking to perform a complete rebuild. It was either sign team friendly deals or get traded for assets.
@Galaxia X When Amari was with us he didn’t know how to catch a ball, and wasn’t being used to his true potential. So with us he was decent.
I like this guy’s resolve and mental toughness. He is a classic Raider with the chip on his shoulder! A throwback to the 70s and 80s type of Raider!
