@Michael Smith OK let’s keep it real the Falcons (Dimitroff) drafted players that weren’t good that set this team back. Hence Tak McKinley, Mcgary, Vic Beasley and a host of others. If you get rid of Matt Ryan after the season is over it’s going to be a huge cap lost. So you damned if you keep him and damn if you don’t. Linstrom is your best offensive lineman, Matthews won’t produce what you’re going to have to pay him. Mayfield is a second round pick that is still learning. Gono is on injury reserve. Julio Jones wanted out and bolted , Calvin Ridley status is unknown. You have Grady Jarrett on the defensive line and seemingly nothing else. So you can’t pick a wide reciever in the first round. Because you have no pass rushers. You got a rookie head coach that’s made some mistakes. The trenches on both sides of the ball aren’t good. They choose to give Julio Jones a new deal with 63 or more million dollars gaurenteed with two years left on his original deal. That’s where the big mistake lied. They had gotten all they could out of the soon to be Hall a famer. But they refuse to trade him. Lest we forget never pay a running back on a second deal and Devonta Freeman forced their hand in the Superbowl. So they gave him a big contract and after that he had a knee problem and hernia surgery and was never the same player. Can we say Ezekiel Elliott. Now they brought in Terry Fotenot in to fix this mess. AJ Terrell is good– but they need another top corner on the otherside.

@GGG football IGNORANT people usually and very simplistically, make the childlike mistake of thinking that if a WR doesn’t have TOUCHDOWNS… Then it’s somehow the QB’s fault. This elementary school level deduction quite logically
AND Obviously shows such a level of ignorance of the complexities of the modern game of football, that it shouldn’t even warrant a response from the the people that can look at a football game and appreciate ALL the moving pieces that it takes for each and every play to be successful… Let alone, get a touchdown… Such as yourself.

YOU, MY FRIEND… Know that to get a TD in today’s game… It starts from the play that was called, and it’s design(route to be run and matchup against), play called versus the Defensive coverage design for that particular play… The OLine’s ability to block and provide enough time and protection for said route/matchup, to develop AND for the WR to be at the top of his route WHEN AND WHERE he’s supposed to be…. In addition, just before the WR reaches this critical point, QB then has to have the vision and, after evaluating the defensive response…i.e, the safeties location and if the corner back looks to be beaten, then starts his motion to throw the ball to the projected spot where the wr should be when the ball arrives… Assuming his OLine pass protection had held up during those critical 2.5 to 4 seconds that it actually takes for the play to unwind.
