If you rewatch those games though even the first few when Baker didn’t play, Tyrod was putting the browns in a position to win each of those games but the defense fall apart the final two minutes each game. They should’ve started 3-0 but unfortunately went 0-2-1 I believe which led to Baker taking over. Even after rewatching those games and that season for the Brown’s I believe they still would’ve been above .500 for that year. Actually before the season started they were my sleeper team simply because of the talent they added. Just sucks tat Baker got all the credit and then took a huge dive down his second season, with pretty much the same exact roster with a few better pieces. Including OBJ.

The 2018 Jets training camp had 3 quarterbacks who have started games since then. There was Josh McCown who had a career year with the Jets the previous year, and was also nominated as an alternative Pro Bowler. There was a rookie Sam Darnold who was destined to start sometime in the year but had to fight to start day one. Lastly there was a wildcard in Teddy Bridgewater. He signed for a one year cheap deal that summer and hadn’t properly played since 2016, when he had a freak injury. They all played well in preseason, but Bridgewater arguably played the best and went on to be traded to the Saints for a 3rd round pick. Now Sam Darnold is an emerging young quarterback for the Jets, Teddy just signed a huge deal with the Panthers and will start for them and Josh McCown is still a serviceable veteran quarterback. To be honest, any of those three could have started for the Jets in 2018.
