Show the whole sequence, they took a delay of game penalty right before this to completely fake out the defense.

Youric Hunt Because it’s common to take a delay of game in order to give your punter more room to punt, however it would put you at a disadvantage for the fake because now you need to pick up 9 yards instead of 4.
Exactly, every play they have a designated player “spy” for the fake and cover it, but by taking the penalty they probably opt to max block for the return so that spy plays back a bit giving just enough room to run the fake.
It brilliant in that it not only faked out the players on the field but the opposing coaches as well.
