This loss is on O’Connell. Donatell should have been fired at the bye. Just dreadful defensive playcalling/ strategy which set the precedence in this game. Fun season nonetheless. SKOL!
Everyone says fire Ed Donatell and I agree. But shame on KOC for allowing one person on the coaching staff derail an entire season with poor defensive performance each and every game.
I’m with you but it’s unrealistic to fire a DC in the midst of a winning season. The last thing you want to do is create unwanted distractions in the locker room.
Why can this team never rise to the occasion? Why is there a 4 yard route called on a 4th and 8 with the game on the line?
I better not see any “rebuild” or “fire cousins” comments in the comments section. the only person we should be firing is Ed Donatell. We won 13 games with our first year head coach and Kirk Cousins had one of his best years. This team is NOT rebuilding.
This defense is pathetic not to mention no pressure on the quarterback I feel for us fans we just got our hearts ripped out all the time while the players make the big bucks

It really hurts. After such an incredible season. JJ with +1800 receiving yards. Cousins with veeery good QB stats. Winning close games. NFC North Champion. 13-4 regular season. Biggest comeback in NFL history against the Colts. Game of the year aginst the Bills. At least I wanted to see them win the wild card round. But nevertheless. Really looking forward to next season. Confident in the new headcoach. Definitely in our offense. Better defense work now! We have to be honest…the defensive calls and some defensive actions against the Giants were…just sad. Defense needs to come back to their old strength

Of course we saw it over the whole season. 31th defense. But Cousins was never the problem. The close games were not because of cousins underperforming. It was the defense and the calls.
If they don’t fire Ed they’re not gonna be worth watching next yr.
An offense feeds off a good defense that can take care of business
