that percentage blew my mind. i feel like a little over half of 1st round picks even hit… let alone go pro bowl. im guessing the safety position, as a general rule, is seen as not quite valuable enough to use a 1st round pick on so when they do go that high its because people KNOW theyll be worth it – unlike qb, wr, cb, etc…

i checked on myself – around 60 percent of first rounders are considered “contributors”. crazy. also found that around 25% of 1st round safeties are ALL pro. that all means you have at least a 50 50 shot of being right so im gonna bet with you on that one.
