No other coach would start Mayfield without even one practice. This is proof to me that McVay will continue in his refusal to play Perkins. Why??? My theory is not flattering.
@brenden69 I did watch the KC game. McVay calls the plays and he maybe called no passing plays in the first half? He made him predictable against what may be the best NFL team. In the second half it improved because he allowed passes. Still. One game is not enough time to evaluate a player. McVay was running up and down the field stating how Perkins brought a spark, athleticism, and leadership in the last two preseasons. Now that he has to chose, the tune changes. Play him again with the playbook to throw and play action pass. If he plays the same as Wolford, I take it back. I’m not trying to get Perkins to start, I only want him to have the same opportunity he gives to others. I notice no one mentions the below mediocre play of Ben Skoronek saying, “He can’t play.” I’m a Rams fan for many decades and wish I did not have this complaint. But it is a matter of principle when I think there is blatant favoritism.

@Allen Ralph I’m a Rams fan. I have no issue with Mayfield and glad for HIM and the other players. Almost every commentator stated how head scratching it was to start him without practice. I’m not happy for McVay. He took a risk and won. Does not mean he managed the players well this season.
As a Raven fan and seeing Baker play I know how good he is and he will do good with Rams. They have great coaches and that’s what he needs
