Matt Schaub’s Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 5 Performance vs. 49ers

It was one very bad night for Matt Schaub, and fantasy owners are now beginning to regret drafting the Houston Texans’ starting quarterback.

At the end of the third quarter, Schaub had gone 19-of-35 with 173 yards and three interceptions.  The last interception went to a defensive linemen, showing just how bad of a day it was for the veteran quarterback.

In ESPN’s standard scoring leagues, Schaub had a total of zero points through three quarters.  That was even worse than his Week 3 performance, were he threw for 194 yards and an interception for just five points.

The Texans decided that they’d seen enough and pulled him after that final interception.

This is not a good sign for Schaub’s fantasy owners.  There are plenty of other guys who can do better than Schaub on a consistent basis at this point.  Most owners can probably go pick up Terrelle Pryor or Alex Smith and be much better off.

It’s just one game, but it’s one that’s going to kill Schaub’s confidence and his fantasy production for the rest of the season.
