In todays NFL it’s more about the 65-70 Man Roster with the initial 53 Man Roster plus 16 Practice Squad Players who can move up and back when injuries occur, and yes, injuries will occur so you need Depth across the Team and you also like to groom those practice squad Players to fill a spot when injuries happen with an eye of developing them for the Future as well
