Carolina Kid 1984

Sam n Matt Young QBs both can run n throw. Keep pounding 💙🖤💙🖤💙

    T. Wells

    Sam who?

    Chapel

@T. Wells Sam I am. I see Ghosts and bad throws. I see them at Home and I see them on the Road. I can see them on a Plane on the way to a game. My name is Sam and I see Ghosts and bad throws.

    T. Wells

@Chapel I see Sam on a bench I see Sam at home holding a wrench.. I see Sam waving “hi” I see us telling Sam good “bye”..I don’t eat “ham” and I don’t like Sam..so don’t give the fans “Sam-I-am”

    Chapel

@T. Wells Far better than mine!!

    King Scorpio

    @Chapel 😂😂😂

Sage Barbee

This what a really good interview by Rhule honestly

Outcast83

Is it just me are does Matt seem more excited this year.

    me

I feel that too. It feels like he’s gotten his way this year and everything is falling in line just how he wants.

    michael wicker

Reasonably so…we’re gonna enter this season hopefully with every player healthy & that’s huge because when this team is healthy, sky is the limit💯

    Kendall Shimabukuro

Finally got a proper OTA and camp to look forward to and preseason, and an offense that seems to have direction.

    Tre Smith

I like Matt rhule I think he will do good since he finally has a qb and with a rebuilt offensive line he could be this years zac Taylor

    Ben Tate

Yeah I definitely agree. He’s still talking the same as usual but you can hear more confidence when he talks about us

Andrew May

Carolina started out the season 3-0. We lost CMC and our starting center. We lost a ton of very close games after that, and Sam drove us down the field to score in the 4th quarter in most of those losses (Minnesota, Dallas, etc) The fans didn’t really start to get on him until the N.E. game. Where he was terrible. But he played with a concussion and a separated shoulder in that game, and you can see he clearly wasn’t himself. I have confidence in this season. And I have confidence in Sam. We had the worst offensive line in football. That’s changed. (Too bad Brady had to come back). But a wildcard spot is very possible. Good luck and let’s go Panthers!

    Tyler Holmes

    Fact

    dixie normus

You know as a casual fan who doesn’t watch film I thought he played well the first few games but the fact the team was willing to bring in just about anyone to be the starting qb doesn’t bode well for him. The staff has had time to get to know Sam and they don’t think he’s the guy

    darius lofton

    Stop

    z w

I hope he excels with improved situation. Make or break year Sam if you are reading this!!! Many of us want you to succeed!

    Eddie Biedebach

    Thats facts.

Jai Norman

His job is on the line

I question why we’re still trying to develop a QB in his 5th year in the league. We know what he is at this point. Very difficult to win this fanbase with a QB room of Darnold and Walker.

    DarkZero2588

People forget how young Darnold is. This is his 5th year, but he’s only a year older than Kenny Pickett who’s a rookie. He played hurt, with no McCaffery, and one of (if not THE) worst O-Line in the league. Damn near every drop back he was running for his life. Now, he did play poorly, but with CMC back (and hopefully healthy) and this revamped line this is going to be the defining year for him. And he knows that.

    Austin Mahoney

@DarkZero2588 I don’t think he’ll make it past the half way mark as the starter. Darnold will stink it up and Corral will take over

Ryleigh Rhodes

I get that Sam has been 5 years in the league, 4 different schemes. I get Christian McCaffrey went down. I get the O line wasn’t the greatest. But what nobody’s talking about and who I think performed the worst last year was that offensive coordinator. I was pulling my hair out and I don’t have that much left watching the same play after the same play after the same play. You can put a lot on Sam but nobody can tell me that that dude is an offensive coordinator in the NFL at all. Otherwise he’d be here

    Keep Pounding

i agree i remember i went to the pats vs panthers game and i was calling out most of the plays ESPECIALLY on 3rd down it was crazy such an easy offense to read if you watch film

steven v

No excuses for 2022 Rhule! You hired these coaches! You fired your OC! If the Carolina Panthers don’t win 8-9 games Matt Rhule is GONE!

    Kathryn Murphy

If they don’t win a playoff game he is gone.

    Keep Pounding

    @Kathryn Murphy not really

Ryleigh Rhodes

Appreciating Matt’s loyalty to his perspective players in college and or. I think it’s time to stop playing that game. Obviously Robbie Anderson didn’t grow up he’s just trying to glow up. PJ Walker most likely gone. And we can only hope the defensive coordinator holds it down for another year

Mofo Fish

Sounds like macadoo is finally pointing to the obvious solution… DO WHAT WE DO WELL. USE THE WEAPONS WE HAVE APPROPRIATELY. Stop complicating this and do what we do well..

Paul Mancini

Excited about the 2022 Season, the biggest area of improvement will be the new Coaches who are experienced and will hold the Players and themselves and Rhule accountable unlike some of the Coaches that were here previously
OC Coach Joe Brady was among the worst OC’s I’ve I have seen in my 40 years of following the NFL in terms of creativity, adjustments and incorporating the Roster of Players to be productive

Paul Mancini

Special Teams will be a 100% than previous years also which is huge setting a tone and winning the field position battle during those close Games

Greg Moore

Got a feeling he’s on a very short leash this year and he’s gonna get fired before the season ends

Jeffrey Haverkos

We just need to get our dline right these gbs are going pick us apart

Jeffrey Haverkos

Foot ball starts on on the line both sides hopefully are dB’s step up or were picking a good draft pick next year again

    Captain Nova

The defense was on the field 75% of the time the offense was definitely the problem can’t continue to turn the ball over and expect the defense to step up every time and now we have a real punt returner we should be ok

brokenbracket

One thing that’s gonna help Matt Rhule is being able to delegate duties and know that his coaches know what’s expected of them.

robert epperly

I like the way Fitterer blames Darnold for the offensive line being 31st in the league and HIS receivers dropping 28 balls, second in the league, many on 3rd down killing drives. Its Darnold’s fault that the tailback missed 14 games as well. Nothing like scapegoating. Take ownership Rhule and Fitterer. You set up Sam to fail. Fired his OC as well during the season!!!

Jeffrey Haverkos

As a die hard panther fan the only guy on are offence that scares other NFL teams have are cmc have y’all ever thought about giving him a chance at GB even at sub paggages might work I think it would be badass

Singing Preacher

As a jets fan. I seriously hope Darnold shines this year. He’s a good kid. And hopefully some good coaching brings out his skills

Stephen Hollingsworth

Walker has not been given much of an opportunity, if I am not mistaken the Panthers has won both the two games he started. I believe the Panthers are better with PJ than Sam Darnold, if you have to wait a year for Matt. I have lot more to say but I not going to say it now, but I am going to say I told you so when you fail. The handwriting is on the wall….
