What’s the point in not giving Coral decent reps unless he’s battling for a roster spot. I dont get putting pj in with the 2s and 3s if there’s not a spot for him.
Logically, Panthers probably are building Sam up to the best level he’s ever been, then try to trade him for anything can get to bring down the cap & free up money. Probably keep him in locker room If no takers.
If Sam has a chance as a starter somewhere else, he might agree to reduce his contract and Baker, PJ, & Matt would be the line up.
Will be very surprised if Baker is not named #1. The fact he is picking up a complicated playbook (which Baker loves, very different than Stefanski’s plays) so quickly speaks volumes, & can tell the coaches are impressed. π
Sam & Baker’s contracts are up after this season & PJ is a decent backup. Matt has potential, but has growing & learning to do. πππ΄
If Sam isn’t traded, might have to let PJ go, but that means bringing in someone new next year. π€
Because it’s literally the 1st preseason game with 4 good qbs. The best and most experienced will get the most reps. He will get more reps and will likely start a preseason game. Just put some thought into it and everything makes sense.

I really think that Ruhl is being told how to respond to the qb questions. He knows Mayfield is the guy and they are desperately trying to trade Darnold. Walker and Corral are competent back ups moving forward. It will be interesting if the GM cuts Darnold if he cant move him. Will they eat the 18 million ? Dont think so but what will they do…..
Corral was horrid today lmao. But thatβs because he was playing with 3rd, 4th stringers π€·πΎββοΈ he still has a lot to learn, and I hope he can actually be a force to be reckoned with once he starts playing with the actual OL

Was that the first string OL out there with Baker and Darnold?? If so , eeeeeeeee. But hey, we knew they were kinda weak. All in all, the team looked great. Well coached IMHO. Keep at it guys. Playoffs or bust!
They have some really good players on o line idk what the problem was.
@Sportzz Storyzz Pressure on Baker, had to escape the pocket multiple times and he didn’t even play a quarter, if it was like that all game then would be worse. Not that they were terrible or anything, just weren’t great π
I really hope that isn’t the starting line out there for Baker. They had both Elflein and Jordan as the C and LG respectively. Essentially replicating the line from last year.
If you put Jordan and Elflein in with the 1st string thats what you get
okay let’s not sugarcoat it, that hole-line sucked no matter who was lined up. improving from 32nd isn’t going to be easy
