Are you guys nuts? He cant wait to work with cam on the practice feild, while seeing if hes healthy enough to be our starter still. Make no mistake there is still a strong possibility they move on from him and use that money to build the overall roster going forward. He has 7 years to make something happen. In the long run cam isnt part of that but in the short term he might be. Id personally love to see cam make a come back and shut up all the haters out there. He is by far the most significant player we have ever had

So the dice are thrown. They’ve decided to go with the biggest payoff with the greatest risk. I can live with that. If he’s healthy and stays that way, the Panthers are easily top 10 (maybe top 5 depending on how the rest of the league is doing) and are pretty much a shoo-in for the playoffs, and definitely contenders to take it all (and not just in 2020) If he can’t..well…we’re in for a long rebuild. Any player’s performance suffers when they are injured, but Cam’s injuries make him a liability to the team when they occur. The defense gets frustrated at 3 and outs after a great stand, the other players get frustrated that the QB can’t deliver to them when they are open, and the morale of the team suffers. It was seeing Cam play during his 2nd season that sparked my interest in the NFL, and I kept hearing the name “Olsen” when he’d throw it. Those two became my first two favs on the team, with Luke naturally soon after. DeAngelo Williams was insane to watch with J-Stew, and Smitty.. I swear we’d have won the SB if they’d kept him. LET”S GO CAM AND THE NEW GANG!
Chaos A.D. Cam being healthy won’t mean much if we don’t get this defense right. That’s really Rhules biggest task

@No we’ve never really had anything lmao, almost all of cams career hes had bum wr corp. No oline, didn’t get cmc or curtgo till 2017, dj moore 2018. So offensively cams been the 1 constant good. Defensively our run defense the last 3 years has been declining, we’ve never had the same secondary 2 years in a row . Our defense only looked good because we always had high sack #s

Yeah, Rhule is very intelligent. Come next year, he’ll be where Kliff Kingsbury is right now. It’s really nice to see college coaches get the opportunity to coach in the NFL. Like Kliff Kingsbury, I hope Matt Rhule flourishes and finds success as a NFL head coach. Jimmy Johnson shouldn’t be the exception and the only coach to jump from the college coaching ranks to the NFL head coaching ranks and find success. Jimmy Johnson is still a legend though.
They did Cam dirty when they didn’t support him after he got injured, saying we’d have to wait to see if he’d be healthy enough to play. A franchise QB should never have to heat such words. They should have maintained all along that he’s the #1 QB and only mentioned they might be letting him go after all alternatives had been exhausted. It broke my heart when he tweeted how special Carolina is like he knew he was being let go.
