Matt Nagy on Sean Desai: ‘He’s evolved this year’ | Chicago Bears – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
Mike Thompson

He was told by George McCaskey Nagy he had to play Field’s & that pissed off Nagy, so Nagy doesn’t pretend like he made the decision to play Field’s…..

    Jim George

Then he should have told McCaskey to stay out of his club house or fire me, because I’m the head coach not you. The McCaskey’s didn’t force him to play Justin. Matt gave into the pressure of the media and the fans. That’s unacceptable. He should have kept his word and stuck to the plan. Any other rookie’s career would be over of they had to face what Justin should have never been made to face this yr. Unless you have a great offensive line , great recieving corp , great running backs and tightened you don’t put a rookie on there. The bears have a horrible offensive line. The worst in the game. No way do you play a rookie behind that line.

    Mike Thompson

@Jim George No Nagy was told he had to play Field’s, you think all the reporters were wrong, go back and look, Nagy was saying Dalton was playing until that Wednesday or Thursday then he changed to Fields was starting. He was told he had to start him 100%, Nagy had to put him in but hated it because it wasn’t his plan…

    Jim George

@Mike Thompson you have no proof to back up what your saying. You and anyone else who shares your point of view are just speculating with no proof to back up the speculation. Nagy gave into media and fan pressure and for that reason alone he should be fired. The media and fans have no idea what works best in building a championship football team. If they did they would be the head coach!

Many of the coaches evolved this season – but not you (Nagy). Foles succeeded in Seattle game because he overruled your ridiculous play calls. Were it not for the Bears defense on Sunday vs. the Giants, Mike Glennon would have kept the Giants in the game by passing for negative yardage. Everything you did was created by the defense. Dalton was rather terrible but his lackluster performance was overshadowed by the horrendous exhibition by Glennon. Let’s hope McCaskey remembers that Glennon was someone Pace wanted to give all of the McCaskey’s money to, along with Dalton, and several others including Mack who you got one good season out of. Bye, bye…but do wish you well.

    Jeff Lipinski

    Dalton put up 27 points.
I would not say Dalton was terrible..

He was not great but not terrible
27 points is damn good from a quarterback.

    There was a Safety

    Michael Survilla

@Jeff Lipinski the first 7 points
Monty scored on the 2 nd play of the game. Glennon is a ridiculous
QB, on a team that hasn’t seen 500 ball in 5 yrs

    triplekkk bully camp

@Jeff Lipinski dalton had one touchdown and a interception

Ken Hernacki

He shure is a great philosopher! Too bad he is not a very good coach!

Nautilus1972

Evolved into what? We’re the third worst team in football.

Cathy B

He never truly answers a question…kudos to reporters for asking some meaningful questions today.

SOUFSIDESHCAGO

Every year may be different, Matt, however the outcomes are pretty freakin similar, wouldn’t you say?!???!?

SOUFSIDESHCAGO

How bout you just protect the guy? Some teams protect their qb. Those teams usually succeed.

Johnnie Pinkney

Justa add on idk eddie has been lookin ok but he’s not the same since signin that big contract he has this yr 2 tighten up or safeties will b high on the boards n 2023

I’m looking for the Whys.. I’m trying to figure out why the hell this man still have a job.. That’s where I’m at.

Frank Zepeda

Like when you said you decided to play Justin only later to find out George said to play Justin Fields. You never answer anybody straight and always wanted everyone to know you ran everything your way. Just like standing up there with the press tossing your own word salad which usually explain nothing. Good bye matt

AntMas

All the best and good luck on your future in the league Nagy!!! Hope the next stop you will have answered the why’s and where your at is a solid place!!

Stephen Clabaugh

Last year George mccaskey was asked how he can make good decisions about this franchise even though he admits that he doesn’t know much about football or the business end of it;he was quick to point out that he asked other owners.the first name out of his mouth was John Mara owner of the giants

    Thomas Gena

Would you rather he asked Jerry Jones? Or, maybe you’d prefer Mark Davis, or Shaid Kahn or Dan Snyder?
George tried to get hold of Robert Kraft — but “Mr. Kraft” was tied up in a strip-mall massage parlor — literally, tied up.

    Stephen Clabaugh

@Thomas Gena have you ever wondered why the bears are so inept?

    Thomas Gena

@Stephen Clabaugh Stephen, the truth is”the Bears” are not “inept — Nagy is inept. You pay too much attention to the Chicago sports media.
The proof will come when the new coaching staff takes over this current roster (with a few more Pace “draft gems”) and the Bears become “instant” contenders.

Mccaskey needs to sell

One more week!

Michael Survilla

This is Nagys F U to management and to us Bears fans in a meaningless game, when our young players should be getting experience.
K Herbert 9 snaps, T Jenkins 7 ”
T Graham Jr 4 ” K Tonga 1 “And he recovered a fumble. D Newsome 0 snaps R Nall 1 ”
Last week, D Newsome had a 28 yd punt return that set up a T D
and a nice pass reception for first down. This week Byrd and Goodwin had 2 catches combined for 27 yds Newsome had 0 snaps

I'm Awesome

He’s worn out his welcome. On to the next. Carousel of coaches continues

Michael Warden

it failed because YOU failed….bottom line

AppleGuy670

Man saying he’s evolving is insulting why does Chicago Bears Organization never profit off of coaches who are ready
