I don’t think any coach worth a crap, would think that. There’s to many highly regarded professionals out there, that have raved about his talent and I don’t think that the last game coached by a lame duck, Monday to be fired coach, is going to count for anything.
I hope the next head coach really criticize Justin about starring down receivers, and just learning to know what routes receivers are running without even looking their way

You make a great point — but ONLY if the receivers are held to the same standard. That’s what “ruined” Trubisky. The only WR Mitch could count on being in the “right spot” was ARob. Anthony Miller’s failure with three NFL teams illustrates the point.
That’s why I think that Mike Furrey is the worst WR coach in the league: his WRs are very undisciplined. Maybe that’s why Nagy/Lazor run so many silly “curls” even with their relatively”small” receivers — each of whom has run a sub-4.4 forty.
A lot of what might look like (or even actually be) a QB’s weakness, has its origin with the scheme and/or coaching.
Fields hasn’t developed like he should have been, he should have been the starter day one and gotten all the reps with the first string offense to develop timing with the wide receivers and the offensive line in training camp etc….he had a couple good games in the regular season but with the way Nagy handled the QB situation staring Dalton instead hindered Field’s development more than helping it.
It’s time for Nagy to go so we can get a head coach who knows how to develop rookie QB and design a playbook that’ll take advantage of the QB’s strengths etc…

Have to admit that I do feel bad for him. He genuinely cared and tried. And after the aloofness of Trestman, and the arrogance of Fox, I was really hoping Nagy would be the right guy. I’m sure he’s not done in the NFL. Good luck coach.

Why do people think Matt Nagy isn’t arrogant? He never changed his style in 4 years. He refuses to run the football still even when we’re doing great. We’ve never had a 200 yard rushing game even though we have a top 5 rushing offense. The man is supremely arrogant.
He won’t be a headcoach again.
Why do people think that just because they played high school football, that makes them experts on how to successfully run a NFL offense or defense? I get being frustrated over the coach’s tendencies, you should hear me on game days, but honestly, how many current NFL coaches have a style that would be accepted by Bears fans? Five? Six? I’ve been a Bears fan since 1981 and I remember people complaining about Ditka and Lovie. It’s exhausting being a Bears fan.
Coach Nagy is a class act and whatever happens I’ll always respect him as a man first and coach..I’m a bear fan for life No matter what.. looking forward to Next season go bears

I think he’s in the acceptance stage now…he seems better than he’s been in weeks. He knows he’s done and he has come to peace with it.
