McGloin completed 18-of-32 passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday’s 28-23 win over the Texans. He was starting in place of the injured Terrelle Pryor.
McGloin had a 5-yard touchdown on his first pass of the game and followed that up with a 16-yard strike to Rod Streater. Most impressively for the rookie out of Penn State, he took just two sacks on the day. Pryor is said to be the favorite to retain the starting position when healthy, but this is a situation worth monitoring.
