Yeah fields should have touched him down but lets be real here dallas was scoring another touchdown eitherway, only delaying the inevitable.
Also nobody is upset at Monty for fumbling twice in a row basically as if it’s not a problem
Probably the most pissed I have seen Flus look after a game. You can tell he takes pride in defense.

Tough one 49 points for a defensive minded coach. The best news is the film will highlight lots of poor play. In the 1st half, Dallas just pushed Chicago out of the way, the film will be very embarrassing and enlightening…both to players and coaches and GM. Give Poles and Eberflus 3 years, and expect to see continual improvement over time…today was a step backward.
I’d through the defensive tape into the garbage can and move on. This is not indicative to how our defense normally Plays. Don’t want them to get discouraged after just one bad game. Again. If I’m coach I just tell them. We believe in them and we’re just going to throw the film into the garbage and let’s just go get Miami next week.

Offense wasn’t perfect,but when you put up 29 and the defense gives up 49 it;s hard to win for any team…
It’s ironic that the Bears defense gives up 49 points in the first game after trading Robert Quinn. Perhaps some people were measuring Quinn’s value only by his number of sacks and not recognizing his value in hurrying the quarterback and the giving the offensive line headaches trying to contain him even when he was not getting sacks. Dak Prescott got no pressure the entire game and had time to pick apart the bears defense.
—Apparently the very skilled and likable Quinn was not good enough for the 2 and 4 Bears but much desired by the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles who are probably headed to the Super Bowl. Quinn will end up with a Super Bowl Ring. God Bless him!!
Let’s applaud the Bears offense for scoring the most points of any team against Dallas this years. It shows what a talented quarterback can do when the coaching design plays that utilizes his strengths (ability to make plays on the move) and not make him vulnerable the teams weaknesses (inability of offensive line to protect a quarterback in the pocket). Fields threw 3 touchdown passes and ran for another while the team rushed for over 200 yards.
