Matt Eberflus on Week 12 loss to Jets | Press Conference | Chicago Bears – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
Anne Grasser

The bye week can’t come soon enough. This was awful.

The Anomaly

0 attempt to win in the second half. Obvious tank. I don’t care that we lose but at least make it watchable

    momma's basement

    The starter is Trever siemen

Tough seeing BEARS Lose week after week but Gotta keep Leaning towards the Future, On to the Next GO BEARS πŸ§‘πŸ’™πŸˆπŸ»β¬‡οΈπŸ™πŸΎ

    Mozart1220

I have been Leaning towards the future” since 1970. I’m sick of it. If this laughable excuse for a coach doesn’t address the laughable excuse for ownership, who constantly spend tens of millions on talent and then trade them away on “rebuilding years” he’s an idiot. WE HAVE NO DEFENSE FOLKS. That’s why we lost today, it’s why we lost last week and it’s why we will lose the rest of the games this season. They pissed away all the defensive talent, never addressed the O line, and now inevitably a very talented QB (Fields) will be blamed and run out of town like McMahon, Kramer, Harbaugh, Grossman, and Cutler. The McCasketys do not want to win. They want to MAKE MONEY as a farm club for other NFL teams.

SO I will spend not one more dollar on the Bears as long as that crime family is in control. Big deal, because the NFL is controlled by gambling interests now. It’s the WWE.

    RockFour1

Agree totally, next season will be a different and much better team! They should pick # 3 or better in the draft and have more $$$ than just about any other team to make it right and get the talented players they need1

    K2klipz

There is no future when u have nothing to build on

Lushy Lluun

Eberflus excellent at tanking.

    Lushy Lluun

@JC like I said “excellent” at tanking πŸ˜‚

    Amahd Cole

    Yeah I agree

KeyGloc

I ain’t mad at coach at all love the direction the team is heading good or bad they continue to fight but at the end of the day injuries just fucked us up big time looking forward to next season

    Amahd Cole

Yeah I am looking forward to next year as well

Leroy Padilla

I know we’re in a rebuilding year but when our defense can’t stop a second string quarterbacks and they get to put up 30 plus on us we’ve got bigger issues than a rebuild. The tackling was sloppy Johnson’s almost a ghost

    Mike Delape

mike white is pretty good, better then zach wilson

    Jeff Joyner

    I Totally agree

bugsfrickingbunny

So we are losing on purpose at this point and it is very obvious.

    Comments of the month

They sabotaged Fields season they was not trying to let him win games

    Big block 472

@Comments of the monthNo, the team in general is tank mode full speed ahead. Has nothing to do with Fields personally. Why else would they call two consecutive QB runs at their own 30 yd line with a minute left in the game?

    M S

@Comments of the month no this is literally the worst defense in NFL history. they are literally that bad on defense

    R_4_R

@Comments of the month should look up how many points the defense was giving up before Pats game when the offense made the change. if the offense was putting up 30 with the defense playing the way they did those are wins.
this is the offense without Fields keeping drives alive. you really expected the backup to put up 30 for CHANCE 😭

Bob Johnson

I’m really liking the idea of trading down and taking Peter Skronski or Quintin Johnston

Wesley Moore

Number 2 pick here we come!!!

    Amahd Cole

    Yes indeed

    Tyler Burrell

    Fellas

    Tyler Burrell

@Amahd Cole ayee you’ll think we should go with a offensive lineman or a a defensive player with that pick πŸ€”

    Amahd Cole

    Offense line

    Johnnie Pinkney

If we can get the 2 or 3 pick u GOTTA get a blue chip guy unless a team gives u a top 5-6 pick n the 1st a 2nd a 4rth and 24 2nd rd pick im at the point that idc if they don’t win again but b a competitive 4-13 or 5-12 team but n 23 with 125 mill and a top 2-6 pick with 7 picks n the 1st 5 rds we GOTTA hit big….im lookin at anderson jr cuz we NEED a stud de then sign payne from commanders taylor from eagles or esch from cowboys 4 wlb then dean or any #2 type cb draft a run stuffin nt also rt lg c wr te and after last nite i LOVE sanders from the eagles and we should win 9-11 next yr 4r4r…..BEARDOWN!

Jesus Ortiz

need to install winning culture this not helping us for the future losing week in and week out

Mike Flair

Eberflus is clearly frustrated with the 2H. No excuses. This will be an interesting off season with personnel moves and draft. Everthing is on the table, and expect a lot of coaching changes, mostly on the defensive side.

    Mozart1220

Until OWNERSHIP changes, it’s going to be the same as the last 60 years.

    J Sanders

Lol…how can you blame coaches when the GM has been picking away their talent.

    Jacob Mckenzie

Pardon me sir what do you mean by 2H? Second half?

Calm Down

My Chicago Bears showed fight and courage. I am all in. Bear Down! My Bear’s have five more games and I will be watching. GM Poles, Coach Eberflus, and the players have my support. Is Sanborn the next great Chicago middle line backer? Hmmmm! Perhaps.

    Big block 472

They laid down like a tired dog. WTF are you smoking?

    Calm Down

@Big block 472 The Bears have injured players both on offense and defense. I saw my Bears compete as best they could. I am a real Bears fan. I look forward to the next five games. Of course improvements are needed. The 2023 draft is coming up and my Bears can get some help where needed. Also getting the right veterans in free agency will also help. Bear Down!

    -Slurmdaddy -

@Calm Down draft is coming up? I thought it’s in April?

    Calm Down

    @-Slurmdaddy – You are a real genius.

    -Slurmdaddy -

    @Calm Down lol

Rich Lo

Honestly I don’t take year 1 hard when we lose. I’m excited about next year and hope for growth

    Jeff Lipinski

They said they were excited abour 2022 last year lol
They say that for every following year lol
Next year will be the same as long as you keep Justin Fields lol

    He is horrendous

Did yous ee the PHILDELPHIA EAGLES LAST NIGHT ?

BEARS ARE SO FAR BEHIND THE ELITE TEAMS ON THIS LEAGUE
    NEXT YEAR NO CHANCE

ShamrockShawn

I wish this team would play with all of the anger that it’s fanbase is feeling. -We would be very tough to beat.

juice9100

This team for the games we have left is all about getting reps & experience. All the experience they get this year for the rookies & etc will be beneficial for next season. We should be able to get a couple good free agents & have a good draft, we know what we need, next season this team should hopefully be an playoff contender

I Am Shields

I think another possible positive thing moving forward is that we’ll probably have the strongest depth in a year or two. Most of our roster is comprised of backups. Once they go out and get true starters, the guys that have been playing this year will have far more experience than most teams depth players.

Bryan Popa

Kinda hard to coach a team dismantled by a new GM.

Grant Straka

Smells like he ain’t the coach of the future. So shocked

KendallMarie94

I might be alone on this, but I really don’t care about this season. I’m looking towards the future and hoping this year provided enough film and material that the team can learn from moving forward. We still NEED MORE WEAPONS tho, that has to be a priority next year.

R Law

I attended my first Bears game at Wrigley in 1954. I was ten years old. I’ve watched and attended many games over the years I’ve closely observed the coaching staffs, first with Halas, then Dooley, Gibron, Armstrong, Pardee…and so on. I eventually coached for decades out west. I still ref high school football at 79, and women’s fastpitch tournaments.

This is, by far, the worst coached team of them all. Ryan Poles has his work cut out, and if he doesn’t get it right you will have another seven years of this shizzz-show of an NFL imitation team. At least they have Justin Fields to build around…a great young man.
