@TheIceWatkins there is a logic to that comment, but guards are easier to replace than centers… so get a free agent guard and move Patrick to Center (and by the way, Eislen is also on the PS and has played guard and center in pre-season…I would rather see that “drop-off” from Patrick to Eislen let’s say than the upside i will get once Patrick replaces Mustipher)

@Alex H I see your point for sure. It’s just hard for me to say that I know more about a player than professionals who are with them and evaluate them every single day. There’s a reason someone like Eiselen wasn’t drafted and has essentially never played in an NFL game.
There will always be people who love certain players who have never gotten into games but if they’ve convinced themselves that they know more than the people who are with them every day they are kidding themselves. If someone like Eiselen was better than Mustipher, he’d be starting for the Bears or another team would have him on their active roster.
Mustipher isn’t great and I’m not a fan, but the Bears aren’t playing him over guys who are better than him for the hell of it. He’s obviously the option they are most comfortable with right now.
@TheIceWatkins Again, Mustipher has more starting experience, but he had to start at some point, and they are playing many rookies too; so for me what i see on tape is not a question of ” hey how can we get better at that spot” but more of “hey how could we get worse” by trying another player at guard and Patrick play the position he was brought in for… you never truly know until the Friday night lights are on…
